That truck looks so awesome!! It is everything I wanted in high school!! 5 different guys in high school all talked their parents into buying them brand new Nissan pickups when you could get a stripped single cab for like 7k. No options, no chrome, no nothing not even a radio and we redneck lowered all of them with twisted down torsion bars, lowering blocks and the cheapest shock we could find that fit without bottoming out. They rode like garbage but they looked cool. One of the guys and I had a detail shop and we put chrome factory 4wd wheels and replaced the black bumper and grill with chrome and of course put in a system. Our French teacher had also bought one and we passed French class by doing all of that except the lowering on her truck, still don't know any French. I couldn't afford a new truck and neither could my dad so I ended up with a Mitsubishi about the same era as your D50 and I couldn't lower it because I would have had to walk the last half mile to my house everyday, no way something lowered was getting up our driveway. Sold a very rusty but good running J10 to buy the Mitsubishi because I couldn't afford the gas in the Jeep. Kick myself all the time over that decision, I should have just stayed home when I couldn't afford the gas.

So I thought I’d come on here because I realized after stumbling across your mini truck build, I started checking out some of your other videos and I saw the trooper this one in particular obviously and then I’m like OK. I need more information. It’s been seven months…. I need to see more of this project and then yet there’s nothing to be seen. I’m crying inside myself to sleep on this New Year’s evening night, hoping that when I wake up in the morning on New Year’s Day, there will be a new video related to the trooper 😂 on another note congratulations on this particular video of 155,000 views in seven months. It looks like it is your number one viewed video in the past 12 months so I would have to say that is really good. But who am I? I’m just another Truck guy.🤣

There are few things that are harder, more time consuming or expensive than questionable paint. High quality paint always sprays, lays down and cures so nicely, it’s worth the cost.

Freakin' sweet minitruck, Dave! Only minitruck I ever wanted to build was an extendedcab hardbody...have never had the opportunity but living vicariously through your build has been pretty dang good! Someday... Congrats, sir...have a ball with that beaut and look forward to further improvements on this one and all your other projects. Followed you here from DED, and have watched every episode. Good luck and God bless in 2025!
