2 times would have been funny but like 8 times was a bit too much. That is coming from someone who has been defending them. Although if you think about the Overwhelming Hate they have been getting I kind of don't blame them. But as you say Baggins, this announcement better be good stuff after all this hype. But I can't understand how it can be so many things they can't talk about (the only legit thing I would expect to be hushed up is console release because of console companies). I just can't imagine how there are like 6 things they can't talk about.

The list of eligible locations for the competitions is very short and originally didn't include the UK . ELIGIBILITY: Only legal residents of the United States, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, and Poland. Lets hope all the other players can be part of the community once they recover our locations from the "offline" status of ineligibility.

This week's Eye on Aeternum video is a good example of there being something fundamentally wrong with their team's processes. Either they release content without any sort of oversight whatsoever (which is believable considering how often we get patches with super-obvious bugs/problems) or they showed this video to people on their team and *nobody* could identify how players would react to the video given the current state of the game (which mirrors how disconnected the devs always seem from the community). The video's producer took full responsibility for the poor attempt at self-deprecating humor, but at the very least that still leaves the game's head developer and community manager as being involved with it and not recognizing how it would be received. Realistically, it seems kind of crazy that nobody higher-up would watch the *1* video a week they put out to ensure it properly represents the game and doesn't contain anything they'll need to apologize for. EDIT: And as you point out, a video like this discredits their claims that they have an "Experts Group" or in any way interact with players or content creators as they develop new ideas or work on things behind the scenes. I suppose it's possible they consult the handful of volunteer players who they game mod permissions to in the official Discord, but those are the people who will never provide criticism about anything related to New World.

Just a reminder, the get the average total player base of a game you need to multiply the daily player count by something like 7 because the average player does not play every day in fact usually only plays a couple of days a week. Most videos I have seen when referencing steam numbers multiple times 7. So that would be total active players is somewhere around 40 to 50k individual accounts logging in each month. It's really not that low, just significantly lower than the past.

I honestly miss New World so much. They've slapped me across the face, and then kicked me when I was down. I was banned off discord last expansion because I expressed the dire need to unlock the worlds and provide free transfers for returning players. It's so sad to see what it has become. The first round of fresh start servers were a good idea, if only they had a finished game....getting fresh start servers at this point is just showing disrespect towards their players. Fix the bugs, lag and make the skills/perks work as intended....then you can think about fresh start servers. Honestly, if they release fresh start servers at this point they might as well say "thank you for testing the game in these past couple of years, we've learned nothing"
