Btw: I watched this & realized, EVERY type of artist should watch at least a handful of your videos. You give artists the encouragement to be themselves, permission to try new things and the love to know that mistakes are the goal. Everyone would be lucky to listen to you 💛

In a way Crystal is the lady version of Bob Ross in crochet, wether or not I will crochet the project, I'll most likely watch it anyway, because I like watching and listening to her🎉❤

Yes i agree with you iris. I read a book many years ago by a renound knitter Mrs Carpenter. In her book she stressed thete are no mistakes in our projects. These are the things that give the project character. I also do not like ripping out so i try dilligently to not make a mistake.

Crystal thank you so much. When I first started watching your tutorials I would just follow you and do what you did, now when I watch your tutorials I actually understand what you're doing. That is phenomenal. You are a very good teacher. I've had trouble learning new things all my life. At 69 years old, I'm learning not just following. Thank you again.

I watch everyone of your videos.....always! Even if I don't prefer the stitch itself. That's OK, not everyone is the same and that is a good thing! In doing so, I make swatches, pattern info on a recipe card with date attached. Fits great in plastic bin for shoes. I can zip thru those really quick. Recently KZbin changed their "Library format" for tutorials. What a PITB!! Took me some time to make my OWN "Library", but well worth it. My personal "Cyclopedia BOD". Being very visual, it's "instant happy time" right at my finger tips, without "scrolling" on my phone or TV. Love this border! Way Cool, and as ever, you Rock on more than one count Crystal❣️

Thank you. The star stitch does make a very nice border. I think that final pop of blanket color makes a huge difference. I would consider the reverse single crochet stitch instead of the single crochet stitch.

I'm always looking for borders. I love the star stitch and now I have another border option. Thank you so much for showing us how to do this. 🥰 I love how you show us close up and are so precise as to where to put the stitches. 🥰 Some others don't keep that in mind and a lot of time I end up passing them over. I always recommend you to new crocheters 🤗 Wishing you a beautiful blessed day 🙏🏻💝

Thank you for giving options for borders. I can always count on you to wave your magic wand sand yarn to create something beautiful. I have started saving your videos in categories now! Those color combinations are so aesthetically pleasing to the eye, I think I would like to incorporate them into a project. I understand why you love crochet so much, because you have so much knowledge and skill of it. It’s a real blessing that you chose to teach so many others, you’re a fantastic teacher, and person. ❤ I hope this short message brings you much even just a sliver of the joy that you’ve shared with me and countless others. 😊

Thank you for doing this star stitch edging. As you were starting the star stitch it looked as if you were going yo crochet in the end pof yarn. Of which i was taught to do 55 yrs ago,by my grandma Ginny. I like Juans weaving oin the ends with the yarn needle . But my least favorite in weaving in the ends. Next is to connect multiple squares.

Just so you know, when you're counting stitches along sides, if you do start and end counting with the middle corner stitches, you'll still have an odd number as if you hadn't counted those TWO middle corner stitches. An odd number plus 2 will still be odd.
