My best friend of 40 years arrived on St Patrick's Day so her birthday is always a massive celebration. Going to make these into cushions for her bed she will love them

Thank you for a great tutorial. I modified it to make a BLACK 5 LEAF CLOVER for my oldest spawn, apparently that is popular amongst youngsters who are into anime; because you know, 4 leaf clovers aren’t good enough for anime overlords, and green, are you kidding? S’gotta be black!. 😆 I had also made your original granny as part of a blanket for said spawn and it was so much fun to make. You make everything as uncomplicated as can be, Crystal. Thank you!

Hi Crystal. I love this square. However I am wondering if there is a way to make it with a shamrock (three leaves) instead of clover? I am new to crochet and have learned so VERY much from your videos. Thank you!!
@BrandiMcGary6 жыл бұрын
Angella Dyer there is a three leaf clover tutorial in here's somewhere.. but in the four leaf clover tutorial, it says if you want three just do 3 instead of 4 ..I haven't watched all of this yet to see if that will mess with the granny square though.

Leslie Ordoyne. I would like to know this as well. I think this is so beautiful
@TheMDelima6 жыл бұрын
Crystal said each square is 4.5 x 4.5 inches. Take the final length in inches you want your bedspread/blanket to be and divide that length in inches by 4.5. The number you get would tell you how many you need. Do the same for the width as well, but while counting your final count remember that you must include the squares you made for the length as well.

Crystal I notice u use A lot of the aluminum hooks. Do u find that they tend to catch on some yarn? I always seem to have problems with them catching. When I switch to my clovers its like smooth as a baby bottom. Sooooo much difference. Wanted to see if u have the same issue.

+April Lee Booth I love my aluminum hooks...they're all I use, Hero and Boye brands
@goldzig81156 жыл бұрын
Hi April Lee Booth, I use aluminum hooks as well....but older ones. I've had them for at least 40 years, probably closer to 50. It's a set given to me by my grandmother (who taught me to crochet). Things just aren't made the way they used to be. I also use newer hooks.

BAG-O-DAY CROCHET & MORE I have the vintage ones as well. Some were my mom's ... My brother just recently told me that he found more of moms hooks so he will give them to me when I get home in 3 weeks. Those hooksmean the world to me. But I love clover brand.

I cherish my hooks. Can't wait to teach my own granddaughters (or maybe even grandsons) to crochet with them one day!

Great video, Crystal! I am thinking about using this yarn for a project but it looks like it has been giving you some trouble. Is this yarn a pain to work with overall? Thanks.
@magdapracsiu30966 жыл бұрын
I have worked with Caron Simply Soft and it is lovely to work with. Unfortunately, I find it splits easily. But every yarn that has metallic in it tends to split, so this Caron Simply Soft Party is even more annoying than Caron Simply Soft. The softness of the yarn compensates for the pain though and you can get used to it after a while.
