The way I relate to this song and my interpretation of it is; I put my work in with my fiancé. I tried to make things work with her. I loved her and when things started going south I held on tightly for longer than I should have. But in the end, she didn’t want the time I wanted to give to her. She didn’t appreciate the work I put into our relationship to try to solve the issues we were having. She didn’t want me. For a while that really broke my heart. But I realize now, I’m not the one losing anything. She chose for herself to walk away when things got tough the last year. I looked for every reason I could to hold on. I wanted her to want my time. But I realize I was wrong for sacrificing my own happiness to work so hard for someone who isn’t willing to put in the work for me. Life will go on and someday I will find the woman who wants to put the same work in that I am willing to. Thanks for reading.
@someonepassmedanukes77492 жыл бұрын
Beautiful interpretation. I've spent my life trying to get solid meanings out of songs. And ofc the song had a meaning. To him. That is somewhat finicky with specific lyrics. But all in all, it is your choice to decide how u process and relate! Keep shlanking pune!

I would guess like a fuzz face and whammy pedal(the recording sounds like it has the two octaves panned l/r) could get you very close, it almost has a bitcrush distortion vibe too because there's no real sustain and the release is very sharp plus it definitely looks/sounds like they're rocking some of those old school 6970 vintage gretsch/oahu type amps. If you have Logic Pro X you could definitely recreate that sound with the stock guitar stuff (amps/pedals). If I'm not mistaken that's a Silvertone guitar so the pickups/hb's output color will definitely affect as well. Definitely a killer tone, my wife and I heard it in a restaurant and I had to instantly shazam it based off of the guitar tone alone. Hope that helps.
