Village style food is favourite of one and all and rapidly gaining popularity again, I have shown the process of preparing a village style thali which includes baingan bharta, multigrain roti (also known as litti) and green chutney . In this recipe video I have shown an easy recipe of making baingan bharta, this bharta will have Smokey flavour because I have shown tips to fry it directly on the gas stove. I have also shown the process of making a multigrain roti and green chutney which is usually served with such meals.
Preparation time - 45 minutes
Serving - 2
Ingredients:
Baingan Bharta -
Baingan -1
Tomatoes - 2
Green chilli-2
Ginger - 1 inch
Garlic cloves - 4
Onion - 1/4 cup
Coriander leaves -1/5 cup
Turmeric powder -1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder -1 tsp
Garam masala powder -1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Cooking oil -3 tbsp
Multigrain Roti -
Wheat flour -1/4 cup
Jawar flour -1/4 cup
Bajra flour -1/4 cup
Salt -1/2 tsp
Water
Chutney:
Green chillies - 3
Garlic cloves - 8
Coriander leaves -1/4 cup
Salt -1/2 tsp
Cooking oil - 1/2 tsp
