He talks lots of rubbish.. 1. regarding bald tyres providing better grip in summer! Formula1 tyres are made from super soft rubber compound and literally shred itself in every lap and barely lasts few laps!! You cant compare formula1 circuits to Indian roads either!! 2. Regarding Nitrogen gas.. its better to check tyre pressure every few weeks than not checking it for 6 months in the false hope it’s properly inflated 😂 3. Steel wheels are anyday better than alloy when it comes to reliability.. because steel bends and can be repaired while alloy shatters in to pieces!!!

After seeing this video, I called up Mr Kiran to check on my options for upsizing the tyres on my Rapid. He confirmed his availability and I went and met him directly. After checking about my driving style, Highway/City use, he has suggested the tyres to go for (upsize), with logical reasoning. He really spent a good time explaining various aspects. He is a very patient listener and answered all questions. I am very happy with the service. He quoted Rs. 1000 less for one tyre compared to what was offered in my place, I certainly recommend this place!

The best video from Baiju..Tyrex Kiran is the proper guy for all our wheel related queries and worries since he is too professional and genuine. He proved, tyres are more vital than engines.Thanks Baiju for finding the appropriate person for such valuable sessions. Mr.Kiran forgotten to reveal, that the alloys are marginally lighter and more brittle than conventional steel wheels. Alloys decipate heat faster than steel wheels. There may be chances of getting blowholes while casting the wheels. These could have been included..but still My overall rating is 5stars..expect more with Kiran..

Overall very informative video and well explained. Kudos to the tyre shop owner too. However, 2 things mentioned are wrong in this video- Alloy wheels bend much more easily than steel rims ( one of the reasons why off-road vehicles don't use alloys). 2. For normal use in city and moderate highway runs using nitrogen air has no major benefits compared to the cost incurred. Fact is a lot of places that fill nitrogen has no means to ensure its pure nitrogen in the first place defeating the purpose of maintaining pressure. If you are ok to check your air pressure once in 45 days, normal air is more than sufficient. Nitrogen is primarily used in professional racing to prevent tyre bursts with increase in temperature. These are speeds which normal cars cant even hit consistently on our roads.

Your first point is not true. Alloys NEVER bent, but it breaks. That's why off-roaders use steel rims so that they can correct them. You have no choice but to replace a broken alloy wheel.

Also I was surprised Kiran did not mention that alloy wheels don't need much maintenance in terms of cleaning, but rimmed wheels rust easily if you don't clean them regularly. This was the first thing I noticed when I changed from a steel- to an alloy-wheeled bike.

My name is Anoop, I'm always concern about the manufacturing date whenever buying a tire. Because I'm working as technical engineering in Pirelli tires for the past 11 years. During the summer season, a completely worn-out tire never gives more comfort or safety than a grip tire. Yes, Formula 1 tires have no grip and it is completely made of natural rubber to increase the rolling resistance but is working on a synthetic circuit.

Thanks a lot to Baiju and Kiran for posting such an excellent video. It is100% worthful. It is very much required for every motorist to have awareness on this subject. Kiran is amazing, I am surprised to see such a tyre expert in Kerala. I think one item is missing - tread wear. Tyres indicate tread wear numbers like 400, 300, 250 etc as an indication of the mileage it offers. Like to hear more about it from you. Also, appreciate a few words about radial tyre construction. I think radial tyres have more inertia to rotation which helps in reducing fuel saving. My answer to Baiju's question about checking tyre date of manufacture is, yes I am particular about it whenever buy a new tyre.

It's a very much informative program. Regarding the size of a tyre that second number has been mistaken by so many as the distance from outer to rim.
