The shaft is to short for the drill chuck and it should also be hardened! The shaft should be made a app. a 1/2 longer so there is full engagement on the jaws. First time using ours with a 1/2 Milwaukee (new) drill it marred the shaft making it difficult to grab the shaft securely and straight. If the issue is corrected, than this tool would be one very nice piece of equipment!
