@@gillhewerfamily6550 Yeah, it is. But if you're playing it at all in grade 8, you've got good prospects kiddo. I'm said to be (decently, not exceptionally) talented and I played this piece senior year of high school, with a chamber group that was mostly juniors and softmores, so remember not to beat yourself up👌😁 Y'all got this!

im in second violins and playing this in 8th grade lol. its one of the easier pieces we're playing right now. Then again, im a second violin and second violin parts are almost always easier than the first violin parts.

@@ivoryas1696 we just had a concert like a month ago, so right now we are just sight reading a lot of pieces and deciding which pieces we like best and want to play most for the next concert. the hardest piece we've tried so far is "the fire within" by brian balmages. one of my favorites is incantations by richard meyer. last concert the hardest piece we played was vanishing pointe. my school is in southern california. im not comfortable sharing exactly which school im from lol
