Looks like another lovely van Bob and Jenny. I am sure Bailey must be thrilled that you are taking this one out on a tour. Your observations on the initial walkthrough are spot on and it’s interesting how you spot potential issues before they arise. Nice to see Lurpak in the fridge, my fav too. Can I ask a random question please, what type of meals do you recommend? Just that I didn’t see much in the way of meat in your freezer etc, apologies if you are vegetarians. I try to use fresh veg, put on the electric ring and maybe pies, pizzas etc that don’t take too long in the oven, tinned curry etc too. The cadac is great for when the weather is good, great breakfasts, stir fry’s and salmon to have with a nice salad. Enjoy your videos, very informative.

Interesting looking motorhome. I suppose the compromise of the large bedroom is a smaller lounge. We bought an Autotrail F60 Tribute following your review at Todds a couple of years a go which we love using. It has the same Hartel door with linked central locking to the main vehicle, only found by accident the brush and dustpan hidden within the waste bin lid! It is not mentioned in any of the handbooks or other literature. Looking forward to see how you get on with the Bailey.

When I had a Bailey caravan I found the bifold door on shower pain in neck. Never stayed flat when showering. And with fold over bed for day mode how do you fit a fitted sheet.

Hi Bob. We were looking to purchase the exact same motorhome but we’re informed that it had no towing allowance whatsoever. Seems strange that it has a tow bar fitted doesn’t it? Any response from Bailey please let us know. 👍🏼
@BobEarnshawMoHo2 жыл бұрын
It's only recently that Bailey have been able to add a tow bar. I have received some information just today from Bailey. I will put it in a video, but this 75-4i has a Gross Train Weight of 4250kg. So, plated at a MTPLM of 3500kg, that leaves just 750kg as the max weight towable. OK for a small trailer, scooter or motorbike trailer, but not a car. It can be up-plated to a MTPLM of 4000kg, but that would leave a towing allowance of just 250kg as the Gross Train Weight is still 4250kg.
@philyoung72752 жыл бұрын
Good to see someone have the same problems as we find with our 75 4i. We could list a few more! If you end up getting one the Taylormade screens are excellent. Hope you managed to get some water in. Hi Bob and Jenny, I would firstly just like to say that me and my husband have enjoyed your videos over the years. 👍 I feel I need to give you a bit of a warning about using a padded drainer on top of the hob as a sound reducer. A few months ago we were about to leave the van for a day out, when I noticed smoke coming out of the vents of the top reat of the hob. My mind couldn't work out what was causing this smoke and my mind went into panic. My husband lifted the glass lid and the padded drainer which I had left under the lid had melted onto the electric ring and was seconds from igniting. I have no idea how the electric ring turned on, only thing I can think of is that when I wiped the tops I've knocked it on as I've leaned over. As you can imagine it doesn't bear thinking about what would have happened if I hadn't noticed the smoke and we went out for the day. Now I don't put the pad under as it really frightened me and its left me paranoid to the point of checking numerous times when we go out for the day. I just thought I'd tell you our experience as I wouldn't like it to happen to someone else.
@BobEarnshawMoHo2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the warning, I will bear that in mind.

That electric socket behind the door is a big negative, not being able to have the door open properly while on hook up seems like an odd oversight.
@BobEarnshawMoHo2 жыл бұрын
The door had been changed, it needs an adjustment to stop it opening too far.
@davidl13382 жыл бұрын
I noticed thewindow in front of the door was a top hinged one, so even if you didn't have EHU plugged in and the door went all the way open (handy to avoid the door bin partly blocking the doorway), it would hit the window if opened! Considering Bailey have been making Caravans and Motorhomes for quite a while, the opening style of that window and location of the EHU Socket is unacceptable IMO. Dreadful design (the shower area available to stand on as tiny as well, and the TV stand that swivels all the way around and slides but still does allow full view from the bedroom (if you are going to the effort to provide a "solution" at least make it passable!) Not sure if I have ever been less impressed in a Motorhome layout :( Be interested to see the final results after 2-3 weeks following the first impression.
@BobEarnshawMoHo2 жыл бұрын
@@davidl1338 yes, just checked, the door will hit the open window. It's the same though on a lot of coachbuilt motorhomes. The TV bracket does work quite well to watch TV in bed though, as the TV will swing around.
@davidl13382 жыл бұрын
@@BobEarnshawMoHo Does seem an oversight though. On my Autotrail, the lounge window (which would do the same) is a slide-style rather than a top-hinged for that very reason I am sure. I guess maybe the angle of the camera fooled me with the TV :) (would you be inclined to have a 2nd TV in the bedroom so you could close the door and be nice and cosy in bed when watching TV though?)
@BobEarnshawMoHo2 жыл бұрын
@@davidl1338 yes if was ours, we'd have a second TV in the bedroom.

“Manual coffee” I love a Jennyism! 🤪. You certainly did have a few rattles and squeaks. There’s far too many steps up and down for my liking I.e. step down into the shower, toilet on a pedestal and step up to bed. I’m too clumsy and foresee night time toilet trip ‘trips’ literally lol. With us both being tall we like the high ceiling 👍🏻. Looking forward to seeing how you get on with it. X
