I should have added that, annoying though it is that this particular 2021 motorhome does not have the fixed waste pipe fitted, the new versions will be fitted with a rigid pipe thank goodness. Other Ford based motorhomes have the same issue. Have a look at the Product Specification under heating and plumbing www.baileyofbristol.co.uk/motorhomes/adamo/adamo-75-4i/

Thank you once again for another great video. I would love Bailey to loan you the Adamo 754DL, so you can give us your thoughts. Mine was ordered April 2021 and we are still waiting! but are obviously pleased they have listened to your 69-4 vlog and added an extension to the waste pipes, fitted blinds and altered the reversing camera. Looking forward to watching your travels over the summer months and considering doing a vlog on ours when it finally arrives.

Hi Bob and Jenny, another good video, glad the bed is comfy, it did look a little tight round the bed end. The pipe under the van looked a bit awkward to use. Looking forward to your next one x
@davidlindley4852 жыл бұрын
Great video again. We have the same issue with the waste discharge point on our Malibu Campervan. It's excellent for dropping the waste quickly where you are able to drive over the grate due to the large outlet. However, for other situations I've had to make an extension pipe that pushes onto the outlet so that the waste can be discharged to the side of the van. Unfortunately it wasn't possible to make it a permanent fitting due to ground clearance and it does mean having to kneel down to fit it. But as we tend to stay on club sites with motorhome service points it doesn't get used very often..

We had a problem getting around the end of our island bed (not same as your van) and kept stepping back onto the tambour door which kept breaking the clips at the bottom.Never quite understood the Whale pump system.I've never had an issue just filling with a hose and topping up with a watering can tbh.Good practical feedback for Bailey in your vlog though

Not sure we'd have it in models with just three cupboards above the kitchen, like this one, but it also depends how often you use the microwave.

Hi Bob, I have an order in for a 694, my understanding is you pull the lever and the water comes out, push it back and it stops. No need to climb under once the cap is removed. What am I missing? Regards Patrick
@BobEarnshawMoHo2 жыл бұрын
The cap is neither use nor ornament, once you remove it, you can leave it dangling, or crawl underneath to reattach it. If you want to use a removable waste container like a Wastemaster, it's difficult to connect a pipe or position the waste container without crawling underneath, when you come to empty the water over a motorhome service point, it's difficult to position because you can't see it easily. Many people who have an Adamo have fitted a fixed pipe that exits at the side of the motorhome, so you can see where the waste water comes out.
@BobEarnshawMoHo2 жыл бұрын
Also, if you are getting a new Adamo, my understanding is they will come with rigid pipes fitted, so hopefully you won't need to crawl underneath to remove said cap or guess where the waste water will exit! 😁

Having watched & read about any Motorhome that uses the Ford van, it looks like the driving experience is excellent - especially with the auto box. The waste water outlet design was ridiculous.......how did that get past the design stage ? I personally really like the island bed layouts.....especially with some of the bigger 'wardrobes' either side of the bed, cupboards above the bed, and end of the bed in some designs - great storage options. The other benefit with a lot of the island bed designs, is a spacious garage.

Hello Bob and Jenny thanks for another really informative video and I cannot belive that Bailey have been so stupid in thinking that that waste water outlet was a good idea hidden under the van in that position, are they mad, someone needs sacking, utter stupidity. I do hope someone at Bailey has the common sense to fix that immediately and for free to anyone that may have already purchase a van. It may sound petty but in all honesty that would without doubt put me of buying a Bailey. Many thanks guys, enjoy your time away. 👍❤

It's more to do with the Ford Chassis than Bailey, the Chaussons' Fords are the same. It will be rectified on the next version of the Adamo with a new waste pipe. I thought they'd added it on this one.

Without reading all of the comments I can only say what a dumb waste discharge system, it must have been designed by someone who doesn't RV travel very often, not a good ad for Bailey IMO. Surely Bailey could fit a gate valve with an extended pull handle release like those manufacturers in the USA supply? Downunda - Melbourne Australia
@BobEarnshawMoHo2 жыл бұрын
It has a pull handle release, but as it was designed, the waste pipe exit is underneath in the middle of the motorhome. As I said in my pinned comment, new versions will have a rigid pipe that should be much easier to empty the tank.

What a faff it looks to empty your waste water. Having to lay on the ground to reach the cap is less than ideal! Bad design on Bailey’s part.
