What a nice looking caravan. When I first saw the length of the A frame I was rather surprised. But then I quickly realised that it would contribute to being a stable caravan to tow. Well equiped. I could enjoy that. Also looking forward to your round Britain tour of steam trains. What could be better? Caravans, lovely countryside scenery and steam trains? And a pleasant host to take us along. A couple of years ago I visited Grosmont at just the right time to see Tornado pulling a train in from Pickering. Also loved the engine sheds there. Then I went (to the next village) and had a pint at the Aidensfield Arms and a look around Scripp's garage. It was a wonderful last day to my short trip to England.

For a small and lightweight caravan, I think it’s fantastic- and looks great. I’ve tried the D4-4 and agree about the specification and quality. I got used to the single front window but would prefer side ones as well. Didn’t miss curtains - like the clean and modern style, but appreciate that won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. Have a fab time in it!

Agree about the window, either do away with the high part and make one large (wide) one or fit the extra two like the Phoenix and big brothers. Like the sort of denim look feel to the upholstery. The offset strap at the back irks me somewhat, but there we go.

We have just bought the d4-2 I have put the awning at the very front of the caravan but the nose weight is still only 50. At this rate I will have to spend £30 in Lidl to weigh down the front end with shopping 😳

50 should be OK Jim. But payload is minimal with the 995kg option so be careful. I'll be mentioning this in the Live-in Review in a few weeks. Great caravan though - you'll love it!

Thanks for another interesting video. I think Dougal is just contemplating whether he wants a couple of weeks in the caravan or whether he prefers his home comforts????? If you are looking for a great steam journey have a look at the West Somerset Steam Railway from Bishop's Lydeard to Minehead. A lovely trip, stop off at Watchet a picturesque harbour and onto Minehead. Mainly GWR loco's and about an hour and a half journey, but I could be wrong. Can't wait to do it again. Looking forward to the next video.

Hi Andrew. Seen one on site. They had a wrap round awning.The people were struggling to feed the awning through the rail. Will you be using an awning. Would be interesting to see if you have the same problem. Looks a nice light van should sell well. Thanks for sharing
