Bailey the Boxer gets Adopted

Today our mate Bailey the Boxer met up with his potential adopting family. It was his mum to be and her two senior Boxers Bootsy and Darcy, 8 and 10 years old.
The meeting went well. His mum was in love with him. She brought him his favourite, squeaky toys.
They live by a river that they swim in each day, 5 mins from the beach too. What a wonderful life for our water loving Bailey.
The meeting went so well, he left with his new family to start his new life.
We’re so happy for him. We shed a couple of tears because we’re going to miss him. But this is what Bailey has been waiting for. A family of his own.
This evening his mum sent us a photo of him snuggling into her on the couch. Totally content.
It has been pleasure having you here at the farm Bailey, enjoy your life buddy.

It looks like it was bittersweet for Bailey, too. He looked like he was glad to have big brothers, a Mum and a Dad, and plenty of toys, but was sad to leave everyone at the Farm. I’m glad you included a picture of him relaxing next to his new Mum at home, because the sight of his apprehensive face just before the car door closed nearly broke my heart. I know he will miss Uncle Luke, Aunty Sam, Barney and the rest of the doggies. Good luck to you in your new life, Bailey. ❤️❤️❤️

Remember YoYo meeting his new sister Nike. Think about Buddy with Koda and Bella. DDCF has prepared Bailey for being a pack member in a new forever home and in this case he has 2 boxer siblings and 2 very dog loving pack parents. His new home / journey in his own forever home begins. So happy for you mate.

It is good to remember the ones we get to see with their loving new siblings. I’m sure Bailey will be just the same with his family once he makes the adjustment (looks like he was settling in well!). I had somehow forgotten that he was up for adoption, so it was especially sad to see him go, but I know it’s a happy thing and goal achieved! 💕

You could tell Bailey's wonderful new family really wanted to connect with him. The way they were talking to him so affectionately right off the bat was so lovely. He really enjoyed those squeaky toys! I hope they're ready for a lot of new squeaks in the house. lol The last photo of Bailey snuggling and sleeping contently on the couch made my day. Congratulations all around.

Both Bailey’s new big brothers are as handsome as he is, plus his new Mum loves him so much at this first meeting. I will admit I have tears because I won’t see his lovely face anymore. I have to admit I am also extremely happy he’s gone to his forever home. Especially with people who obviously love boxers. The tan chap reminded me so much of Mum’s Caesar I grew up with, a little taller but as stocky and broad chested. I might be biased toward the boxer breed, I do love them so much. From their temperament right down to the drool bubbles when food is around. I hope he laps up their love and gives van as much back. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

🥰🥰At first, the big golden boxer (tail firmly clamped beneath his legs) wasn’t too sure about his new sibling…..but after a few bum sniffs and friendly play, every one of them had their tails wagging away like crazy. Fantastic result. Two big brothers and clearly a loving home. I realise how much he will be missed but Sam and Luke and everyone else at The Farm helped Bailey become the beautiful boy he is and whilst I am sure they would love to keep all the foster dogs it's not practical. If they kept them all eventually they would have to stop taking in rescues and that would be a tragedy. Bailey is going to be loved and cared for and that was always the end goal.

Ngl it brought me to tears...... It's not often you see Luke become sooooo quiet.... And I think I'm crying because I felt that... But I'm also so very happy for Bailey and his new family.... Thing about dogs is, they never forget the people who loved them along the way.... It would literally take just one sniff of either of you and he'd know you straight away..... He will never forget you guys or the farm and all the magic that has happened there so far....... You all did an amazing job with him and literally gave him everything he needed and wanted.... But I know, we all know, it hurts, because you give up a small piece of your heart for them, so their heart is never broken again..... Just makes me love and respect you more.. Definitely mixed feelings! I am really going to miss seeing Bailey each day. I keep seeing him and Barney playing tug and it makes me feel so sad. Good luck and be happy beautiful Bailey. I know it's the best outcome, but I shed some tears. They love the breed, have 2 very healthy looking dogs and a new mum who showered him with kisses. I reckon he'll give those older brothers a spring in their step. I hope you, family, staff are all OK. It must be a roller coaster of emotions. His pal Barney has his own family of 2+4 legs. Bailey has just found his and wouldn't have had this opportunity without all your efforts. You're good people and did a wonderful job. Take care
