I'm not sure I could be wrong on this but, Sevy I think Bailu is actually based on the Leviathan given she's a dragon child that utilizes water/hydro element, and some cultures the Leviathan was either a sea serpent or an Ocean Dragon that would create tidal waves to sink islands to "Purify" them of "ill will". Kind of dark if you think about it but it fits Bailu as she's also a healer "Purifying illnesses and injuries but with a bit of a "sadistic" side to her. Thoughts?

Her value became very noticeable in MoC for me. Getting that final trace for the 3 turn invigoration plus 10% dmg reduction, on top of crazy heals...while Bailu has no utility like cleansing, etc. she will keep your team alive! Love her to bits.

Honestly her heals feels wack. Unless you get an additional bounce of healing on the unit that you are targeting, they will get 1/2 of the heals instead of just using Natasha that can provide that same heal with out the wacky rng. For me her free revive feels like an excuse to compensate for that but in the end it wouldn’t matter anyways if the people are on the edge of dying everyone time.

If theyre on the verge of dying its because you let them .-. Up to you if you get them red health and want to play rng with the bouncing heal

@@lemonzest8650 I mean yeah - if you're that desperate to heal multiple people it's potentially time for her ult anyway, which even if a 1-2 other characters waste the heal, still get invigoration, 10% health, and damage reduction (with traces). Unless one character is taking a pummeling and her ult isn't up, using either Natasha or Bailu's skill isn't very appealing anyway. Unless there's some major party wide AOE that desperately needs to be timed correctly to succeed, she's one of those characters who should be using her ult quite aggressively even if it doesn't get "full value - waiting you may have got her ult back in time anyway because it's cheap, and you would have lost out on the persistent bonuses. She's got a pretty cool kit. Shame she doesn't have HP scaling for her attack, or did more break unit damage.

I just wanted to point out one small thing at 4:25 that Ichor Lines is actually Ascension 4 and Qihueng Analects is Ascension 2. Whoever created the UI decided that specifically Abundance characters get to suffer an illogical mirror to everybody else on their Trace trees, I'm assuming someone saw the smaller sheath of wheat and thought it would be more aesthetically pleasing to have that side 'grow' first.

@@eternitea316 cleanse is the removal of debuffs or crowd controls from enemy units. Its very important especially in late game where enemies such as kafka make ur units go against ur own. Thats why I still prefer Natasha and Luocha but Bailu makes up for her Revive passive.

Damn didn’t realize how lucky I got until I started using her, I do have Nat but I prefer Bailu because of her rng healing, and not to mention she works really well with the team I have set up (Blade, Serval, Bronya, Bailu. Incase anyone was wondering) And he revive has clutched many times (for example Blade or Bronya getting sent to the shadow realm and Bailu needing to bring them back) and learning that her E6 grants an additional revive I’m definitely gonna start hoping for duplicates of her. This was really helpful. I just got Bailu as my first 5* character randomly, and I was strongly debating between replacing Natasha with her since I had no idea how she works. I got Bailu from the 1st banner then got her again from standard banner. So having her E1 can help some characters that are short on energy. Maxing her talent for that reason alone is enough for me. I generally use Post-Op on her, but if I am facing heavy cc enemies i swap her over to Perfect Timing. When we get more copies of light cones those will be her 2 best light cones at S5. Probably the best unit in the game currently and will be flex-able and you shouldn't be mad if you get her Eidolons.

I would say Bailu still has uses so it’s not like she would be power dept anytime soon. The only time you use her is if any boss doesn’t apply any debuffs. The only bosses that don’t apply debuffs are Bronya, Gepard, Svarog, Argenti and unto death (The monster that stabbed firefly). Svarog and Unto Death technically does imprison but doesn’t get dispelled but rather take your ally temporarily. For elite bosses there are a few like the IPC grizzly

I pulled Bailu yesterday and currently am not sure which relics to go for. Some sites do say the messenger traversing hackerspace is supposed to be the best relic set for her, but i'm new to the game, so i dont really know...

Great guide as always, Sevy, but I have to disagree with you on something. In this guide (and many others) you recommend to not even bother to level up the characters' basic attacks; I feel like this is holdover-thinking from Genshin, where it's true that for some characters you literally never use their basic, so it's kind of pointless. In HSR, though, you do sometimes (even often) have to use a character's basic attack even if it's not optimal, and since it's fairly low investment to raise the level to 3 or 4, I believe it's worth doing anyway. Now, with Bailu, it's actually preferable (maybe even recommended) to do so. As you mentioned, you actually do use her basic attack quite a lot because she often over-heals and you want to use her to generate skill points. But aside from just generating skill points, why not have her do some decent damage as well? Again, it's such low investment to bring her attack up to level 3 or 4, I say do so and allow yourself the option of getting some decent damage on crit hits, or in the SU with buffs. I've done this and I don't regret it.

I got a copy from the discounted banner and a copy from the standard banner along with Bronya in a single multi. The only character missing from the standard banner is Jepard & I basically get all the characters that I believe to stay usable until the end. About Bailu, in order to build her perfectly, she needs a lot of effects res so that she is always ready, & not paused by any negative effects.

My one problem with both her and Natasha is that there isn't really a dedicated healing 4pc set, which makes me hesitant to try build them, since we'll probably get one eventually and the current one feels pretty bad. Which means that mine have just the base 4pc set you get for free, meaning they're performing awfully and don't really help. Although for me that's not been a huge issue because I have both Gepard and his 5* LC.

I personally use the tank set on her she ends up being a mega tank and since she is a 5 star her base stats are good enough. Her healing is fine she has never ever died on my account.

@@domreto5055 Yeah, the tank set that shares with Quantum for 2 piece, or the 4 pience healer I'd say. Less for effect and more for availability. People will generally farm the Quantum set for Seele and SW, meaning you end up with lots of the tank set pieces with limited characters to use it on. (I think Clara is another decent candidate for that set.) Then people will often farm lots of Wild Wheat as a generalist set, sticking you with lots of the healer pieces whether you want them or not. The healers more or less get the pick of gear which has limited use, and leaves other sets available for characters with more pressing requirements.

two team content is not that rewarding to worry about so much. Don't feel the need to rush it and certainly stop overrating healers. You feel like you can't beat it without a healer because you're under leveled. Once you get characters to level 80 with traces, decent lightcones and relics etc you won't have any issue beating them and you can probably get there by the time an investment into pulling for Luocha or Bailu pays off anyways.

People should really stop rushing to build 2 team for MoC. Take your time and optimize your current one with the limited resources. You're not missing out on anything significant really, I got Bailu in the starter banner and have been using her since, I don't even build Natasha cuz the second team is not needed right now.

As frustrating as it sounds not able to clear "end-game" contents (even though the game just released) it's not. Quite the opposite, I got bored really quickly clearing the spiral abyss (assuming end game of genshin) over and over. Back to the point, the game is still very new, meta can change radically, meta characters now may not be a few months later, good characters may become mediocre. For f2p, Investing too many characters like this early on can dry all of your resources, not to mention replacing them with newer units, this will undoubtedly slow your account progress by a margin. So ye, that's my two cents on this topic.

You shouldn't have used that on Bailu regardless lol. Healers are highly overrated by CCs in this game because it allows you to rush MoC. Rushing MoC is completely pointless though. When more and more people get level 80 characters, we'll see that tons of them are probably going to be 30 starring MoC without a single healer on their team as we've already seen some teams do that already.

hello guys just asking how Bailu E1 works? Says here "If the target ally's current HP is equal to their Max HP when Invigoration ends, Bailu additionally regenerates 8 Energy for this target" Does it mean per Invigoration stack? As in per hit? Or does it mean 3 of those stacks gone?

So I'm confused when it comes to substats do you mean flat Def or Def% and does this apply for DPS units (ex. Flat atk or you mean atk%)
