Hi, I've been watching some of the videos you and Mark have put out on rigs. In Mark's Ultimate Rig video he's using the same rig as you do (shown in the ESP vid) but combi style with fluoro rather than semi-stiff coated braid straight through. Are there any fishing scenarios when you would use his combi version instead? Thanks!

@@BaitworksTV I think it was Carl who has also done a vid there said the local council stopped fishing there. Maybe someone told him that. Maybe he felt obliged to protect what the locals have got without getting over-run. I remember feeling a bit saddened by that, thinking no more fishing, more for the locals than anything. A good angling club as you know is a blessing, a good thing, helping police a water, clearing away litter, that sort of thing. As a boy living on the Welsh border, my mums family side Williams, dad still living in Wales, mum buried there, spending every summer holiday there, fishing my first fishing match in Wales, I have a natural affinity for the beauty of the country and the fishing I have enjoyed there since a boy. For sure it was a place which for me was on my bucket list to visit, along with Redmire Pool, one I have ticked off. Thank you for putting me right. I am happy to know that local anglers still have their precious venue to enjoy, and long may that continue. It was brilliant that you enjoyed the unique setting every bit as much as your well deserved success there.

Lovely video and venue but why do feel the need to use a drone? Whatever the reason, you’re inspiring people (I don’t refer to them as anglers) to use a drone to find carp. The hardest part of carp fishing is finding the fish and any clown can use a drone to find carp on the lowest of stocked lakes. Drones are ruining carp fishing. Watercraft / finding the fish is what separates a good angler and a shit one, why get up at silly o’clock to walk and scan the lake, looking for shows, fizzing, coloured water etc etc ?? It’s the very essence of carp fishing ! A drone totally takes that away. It’s down to all you guys making videos and fishery owners to stop using and ban drones. Please ! For carp fishing sake.
@BaitworksTV11 ай бұрын
Hi Mate, I hear you. I don't use a drone for fishing, I'd caught most of the fish before I even got the drone out the car. I just wanted to capture some high castle shots for the film, sadly films certainly benefit from drone footage in todays day and age. But I'm totally with you on the general use of them on lakes up and down the country. However we all know they're here to stay, so it has to be up to the fishery mangers to police it as best they can it seems. Similar to bait boats, in the wrong hands they can cause issues. But I think I'd rather have someones drone overhead than someone casting out a christmas pudding (round ball echo sounder) into the lake on bite time lol
@Niiiiiiiiiii11 ай бұрын
@@BaitworksTV I know you don’t use a drone for fishing mate, I’ve listened to your podcasts with Mark and I’m confident in saying we’re all singing from the same hymn book. I think we need to encourage fishery owners to ban drones! A passion for angling is the greatest film ever made …….. there’s no drones in it!
@BaitworksTV11 ай бұрын
I agree but sadly I feel the horse may have bolted mate, the challenge is how do you stop a drone from two fields away? It's painful, we're certainly on the same sheet but technology has gathered a very fast pace in angling and drones, underwater cameras, deepers, bait boats, bait boat echos etc are here for good now I'd say. It has to be down to lake owners as you say to apply rules, however as a day ticket that may be focussed on revenue they'll certainly not want to restrict customers who want to use any of the above?@@Niiiiiiiiiii
@Niiiiiiiiiii11 ай бұрын
They can have any rules they like on the day ticket waters , I won’t be there anyway😂 That horse may have truly bolted I agree, but what worries me is: Where does it all end? Chipped carp you can find on a mobile app? We’ll learn to adapt I guess. Take it easy mate and be good not lucky!
@BaitworksTV11 ай бұрын
Sadly mate I know of fisheries with chipped carp, so say for security! I can see it coming, pay for a day ticket or you can pay for the premium day ticket that allows you to track the chipped carp on GPS locator! lol - same to you mate, all the best@@Niiiiiiiiiii
