Baking a sourdough babka takes a couple days and patience, but it’s worth it!
This recipe makes 2 loaves at once!
Recipe:
357 g all purpose flour
70 g milk
2 eggs
100 g of butter
40 g water
29 g sugar
8 g salt
100 g doubled and ready to use starter
Mix all adding butter a little at a time
Allow to proof on countertop for 2-3 hours and do stretch and fold 1-2 times. Put in refrigerator overnight.
Next morning roll out cold dough
Put filing in:
200 g brown sugar
3 tbsp melted butter
15 g flour
Cinnamon on top by personal taste
1/4 tea salt
Roll into cinnamon roll shape and cut into babka shape. Proof covered on countertop for 1-2 hours. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. #sourdoughbaking #sourdough #sourdoughbabka #cinnamonbabka
