My 5 yr old son developed one after going to a trampoline birthday party. We took him to a specialist who told us not to aspirate it because it’s painful and most likely would just refill with fluid. It wasn’t impairing mobility and he wasn’t experiencing pain so we opted to leave it. In 18 months it disappeared completely. He will be 30 this year. No problems..

He's very fortunate ! I had a Bakers Cyst diagnosis when I was 8 years old, in the early 1960's. The Dr. sent me to a specialist who surgically removed it under anesthetic. I had 19 stitches.

I was hoping for a bit more in depth into the causes and time frame of the healing. Also if there are massage, movement or other methods to promote healing.

Thank you for sharing! This is exactly what I had but it was never really explained to me. It appeared after a knee injury and I had it for a year or so before getting removed

Did it come back?? Ive had mine for almost 5 months now and just got another one in my left knee now and I want to get them drained

@@kelhallaq I had my knee X-rayed and the doctor said the cyst was so small that the problem was probably a strained tendon or ligament. He put me on Celebrex and after a week or so the pain and swelling went down and my knee fells a lot better. Hope you do OK and back on your feet.

I shredded my mcl while skiing and ct showed a baker cyst … absolutely no signs or symptoms … unsure if the bakers cyst was caused by a previous skiing mcl shred.

Mine appreaded.... not with overuse, it was because of not working out, I sat for two years,/.... prolonged sitting makes it worse, movement and upping make it better!! I was sedentary working from home and not going to a gym!
