All praise be to God and my savior Jesus Christ for this wonderful information. Thank you so very much sir. I performed the first wall stretch exercise last night, and I could definitely feel the tightness in and around where both of my baker cysts are on the back of both knees. I performed the same stretch a short time ago (Minutes before writing this) And then moved on to rolling the back of my legs. I understand that this was not recommended, but all I had was a non-symmetrical soup can (Tapered). When I was working on one of the Baker cyst after just a short time, I felt the tissue displacing, and there was something of a kind of dull and wet crunch. I continued rolling for a very short time (10 to 15 seconds) And then stood up. The lump on the back of my leg, decreased by at least 60% And my knee feels as close to normal as it has an over a year. Christ bless you sir. For God of the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever shall believe in Him, shall not die, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

The relief from doing these stretches was almost instantaneous. Especially the hip stretch on the wall/floor. I have been dealing with a bakers cyst for a couple months. I have had issues with tight psoas muscles, and tight calves and hammys. I figured my knee wasn’t injured and watching your video and doing the stretches, you are spot on. Thank you.

Yep. I’ve done your bakers cyst excersises before and they really helped. Then I stopped doing them. Bakers cyst is back and painful now. I’m so glad I found your vid again. Starting on your stretches again now. You really know your stuff and thanks for sharing it here.

You are literally heaven sent! On February 14, 2020, I crouched down to buckle someone else’s shoe and my knee really hurt. I stood up and went about my business that evening. Next morning, my knee was like a balloon! It took Kaiser 2 YEARS to do an MRI to find a meniscus tear. Then a few months later, the ortho surgeon said surgery may or may not help, he didn’t know. He had a bad attitude so I didn’t want him to touch my knee anyway. After more Physical Therapy no changes and way more symptoms. February 2023 I changed to Sutter Health with new Dr. I had new X-rays & new MRI. They found a meniscus tear, torn cartilage and a Bakers Cyst. The ortho surgeon was very thorough and gave me helpful info and will check on me after a few weeks of knee strengthening leg exercises. THIS VIDEO has given me the first relief to walk without pain in over 3 YEARS!!! I reside in California, but am an Aussie, so thanks mate, for being very knowledgeable, thorough and explaining not only the how’s but the why’s! God bless you, bruthah❣️🙏🏼🇦🇺🇺🇸

Wow what a great video! I am not currently dealing with a baker's cyst but have been experiencing some issues along my right leg from hip to knee to ankle (I'm a cyclist). That demonstration and mechanical breakdown you gave at the end of minute 8 was a big A-ha! moment for me which I've been looking to have for almost a year!! The amount of information and tips you shared across the whole video is simply amazing!! I watched a year's worth of videos on this subject and everything I learned was here and then some more!! Keep doing what you do please, I can watch this all day and this type of information should reach a whole lot more people. You've made a new forever fan, thank you.

You are the man! There are so many videos about meniscus tears and baker's cysts. However none of them have this combination. It hits all the right spots for me. For reference I had an MRI done and it said I have a degenerative meniscus tear and some fluid in one of the bursas. I am 33 years old and play a lot of beach volleyball. Been doing these for a week and feeling a LOT better. I also do some strenghtening but these are what are heping the most. Thanks you!

Where do I send my payment? I just started experiencing a Backer Cyst for the past 4 weeks and as I continued my training it kept getting worse. At the same time, I've been experiencing a hip issue that was throwing my entire hip out of aligning. As with most runners, I just kept running through this, which seeing a chiropractor to get my hips and lower back realigned. In this video, not only did I get instant relief by performing both of these exercises, but I also learned what more than likely was the cause of it all! My hip misalignment causing my knee to rotate, instead of hinging!

Brilliant, instantly effective! Am tennis player so lots of lateral movement and just stumbled across this channel looking for Bakers Cyst info/treatments (my consultant was dismissive about this condition, suggesting just steroid injection for my 'frayed' - not torn - miniscus and ice packs) and tried both the wall and rolling calf muscle with tennis ball exercise and instantly mobile! I also had been bringing my leg 'around' whenever I got up from sitting too long so this video looks spot-on for me! Many thanks for posting this video.

Wow this has been a revelation. Movement is instantly SO MUCH better. I’ve had a Bakers cyst since tearing my meniscus 9 months ago. Despite surgery it keeps recurring, (had 2 aspirations and 2 steroid injections). Hopefully this will ease the pain and lack of movement and keep it at bay. 👍🤞

Excellent thanks! I went to the doctor today and described a recent increase in steep hill biking and running after moving house; a twinge in my knee joint one day that was followed by a week of inflammation and swelling behind the knee; and when that subsided, a lumpy protrusion. The doctor just told me it was a benign cyst and I'd need to have elective surgery! But thanks to Dr. Google and your channel, I now know it's a Baker cyst and there are some non-surgical things I can do to address it.

Great video, exact and understandable explanation. Got master's in biomechanics, so I might know a few things about the human body, and I have to say that this guy is on top regarding the knowledge connected to rehab / stretching for sure. Got my MRI scan yesterday, diagnosed with 4cm baker's cyst. This was bothering me for more then 5 years. (had a small sport injury back then (volleyball), but never really thought that meant much) Since this injury, I have decreased range of motion in my knee (95%). Can't bend it fully. Now I know this is because of the cyst. Gotta do some "work" with my leg now, will come back after a few weeks, hopefully with good news! Cheers 😁🥂!

I’ve been dealing with a baker’s cyst since 2016. I did do rehab in 2016 but, admittedly, I haven’t been maintaining it well. I’ve been OK and doing all my activities, but recently went bowling. Umm, yeah, that TOTALLY inflamed the joint and it filled with fluid. I’ve been limited for 2 weeks so far. The first stretch made a difference! What about strength exercises along with stretching? I’ve been feeling general weakness in my knees on stairs. I do lots of walking with running 4 days a week when I’m in good health.

I inquired to my doctor to have the cyst drained, hope its done soon, meanwhile I should do these exercises for relief.

Hi, pain started in hips, GTPS( bursitis and gluteal tendinopathy) plus high hamstring tendonopathy, all in left leg since July 2021. Pain behind left knee Bakers cyst started Oct 2023 out of nowhere calf gets very tight and painful. Ankle very stiff, swells up, feels as if joint is stuck, need to rotate to release, on doing so heard loud cracking sensation, excruciating pain shot up from ankle to knee, couldn't straighten or bend knee for 2 days, eventually eased off. I suspect have inward rotation of knee toward midline.Experience tightness in front of left hip, burning outside of left thigh!

I’m encountering severe right calf pain which began week 9 into my ACL/meniscus post surgery rehab. I ended up with a bad bakers cyst after tearing my ACL and meniscus this past May and still trying to get it to resolve in therapy. Things were going great but as therapy intensified with more weight loading and single leg work, I developed severe medial calf pain. Not sure how much to keep working through it or if it’s a strain. Going to share this with my PT and try these as I’m desperate to resume my ACL rehab process but this has been a severe limiting factor for past two weeks now.
