No Bob Stoops did not recruit Baker Mayfield. OU had 4 quarter backs already and several of them were highly ranked out of high school. How do I know? Cuz I'm a 20 year season ticket holder and at the time, it seemed like a crazy idea that someone who walked on would leave that school and come to a school that didn't even recruit him even though he came up for camp. Bob didn't cheat when recruiting or he would have won even more games. A lot of big time recruits had committed to OU but at last minute went somewhere else. That's a two sided coin 1) that other schools did something to change their mind and 2) Bob wouldn't compensate and they went elsewhere.
