I'm happy to see Miranda feeling better and Donna joining in for a tea read. I'm also glad that you are modifying the summer program so you don't have to work quite so hard. We all have to take care of ourselves, putting our health as a priority. The Swiss Roll looks delicious, and I enjoyed the discussion of books and authors. Hope you both are able to enjoy the warm weather. Welcome back!

I’m so happy to see you and Donna back Miranda🙌🏽😊. You were well missed. I’m glad you recovered from the vaccine reaction. It’s unfortunate you had to suffer so for protection against this horrid COVID 😶. That Swiss roll cake looks delish. I may try it with chocolate filling for my hubby!😋 Looking forward to your future vlogs😊😊

Thank you both for another lovely video to enjoy! I loved it when your mum brought out Lavender’s Blue - it’s one of my favourite nursery rhyme collections because of the beautiful illustrations, although I only came across it as a grown up (and couldn’t resist it!). Nursery rhymes were such a big part of my young childhood, we had Janet and Anne Grahame Johnstone’s collections which have gorgeous pictures, and Richard Scarry’s Mother Goose. I also have The World of Thrush Green, another favourite. I visited Haworth long ago and I remember it was the gloomiest day with torrential rain, but it really added to the moody atmosphere! The Swiss roll looks delicious and Donna made it look so easy to roll! I must try making it soon!

You will enjoy the Bronte Museum and feel very close to the family as you walk round. I hope you get the full experience - I've been myself 3 times over the years and have never tired of going there. Into the Tangled Bank has been added to my wish list - and thank you for doing the little insert when you flick through the pages of a book. Such a great idea.

Lovely video, thanks for the chat! I am looking forward to your Howarth trip, as I am originally from a town not far from there and visited Howarth several times. If it does happen to rain it’s even better! It rained a lot in the books didn’t it. I read Wuthering Heights years ago. Such a moody , gloomy book! That was part of the appeal so the weather has to be rotten too to soak up the atmosphere 😁 If you walk from the bottom of the street up to the top and the same way going back, be careful, some of it is cobblestone and it’s pretty steep. There’s some wonderful, quirky little shops on the way which I’m sure you’ll enjoy. I look forward to seeing your vlog!

So happy to see you both back again! Hi Donna! The swiss roll looked delicious and I wanted to come and take a bite out of yours :D It's very funny because I just got this beautiful edition of Jane Eyre for Mother's Day from my son! I have the two Jane Austen editions in this series, too. They're gorgeous. Also, Thrush Green is my favorite book series, even though I love everything by Miss Read. I just posted a video sharing my Miss Read Fairacre collection, if you were interested in taking a peek: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oXOumZiceZ2AmdU (working on sharing my other Miss Read books in another video, too). The Lavender's Blue book really interested me and I can't wait to get a copy. I'm loving children's poetry at the moment. So cheerful and fun. Have a wonderful rest of the weekend and can't wait to see more videos. Good luck on your garden, Miranda! I just started a wildflower garden and I'm crossing my fingers that everything sprouts for me. Many hugs! xoxo :D
