I have that book, the pages with the brownie recipe are covered with flecks of batter because I'm a messy baker and I've used that recipe a lot. Hands down the best brownies are made from that book!

oh wait no maybe not. but look up the bbc's 'easy chocolate cake' (there are two, this is the one where the photo is a super dark shiny cake). it's super easy as it requires no creaming or anything, just dump everything in, mix, then add the water last and mix again
