This is true. I learned the hard way even though the marriage was brief. There are certain red flags 🚩. If they talk as if they are always the hero or victim, so no one has been kind to them ever. Also, if they can’t stand their own company. This means that they don’t want to think, self reflect, and deal with reality. Just these two red flags 🚩 run. Don’t wait for the gaslighting, blame shift, word salad, or mirroring your empathy/compassion back to you. Just walk away.

The narcissist is only interested and invested in the new supply as long as they can delude themselves into thinking that the new supply is triggering you, but if the narcissist gets an indication that you don’t give a damn then that shine quickly wears away and that is when the new supply starts getting the full blast of their narcissistic traits. The way they’re thinking is what is the point of having them around if the person they want to trigger isn’t jealous? This will cause a narcissistic rage driven by pure ego, and the new supply starts to get the brunt of that.

I would say, on average, a narc is nice and all sweet for about 30 days. That’s my experience. Maybe less bc they have several supplies so balancing all of their supplies is probably an issue for narcs. So maybe it all depends on how their supplies are acting. My ex slipped up 4weeks in and when I ended it, he went berserk! I wish I had of seen then that his not taking no and continuing to manipulate me back in wasn't because he loved me. I went back and forth so many times, each cycle was predictable. He was so paranoid and insecure, so needy. I really felt sorry for him. I think that was why I kept going back. He really did let me in and told me his dark thoughts and he did start trying to do the work. It just didn't last. I think it was too traumatic for him and he wasn't ready. I do believe that he has it in him to heal. But I won't be in his life ever again.

You are so right. I was the new supply back in March. It just ended last month. I’m an empath and the relationship was so toxic. I did everything to please him and got nothing back. He manipulated me until I didn’t know reality anymore. I saw things and he spun it around till I believed him. I was working harder and harder and I got nothing back. Nothing. And at the end he humiliated me and I dumped him. He didn’t care. He called me once after the break up trying to be nice but I knew his game. He said I left something at his house. I told him to throw it away. He hasn’t called back since.

Block him and change your number. There's been many times where he's discarded me and once where I discarded him and he consistently hoovered. I also told him to throw my stuff away. Stay strong and silent. Don't give in. I was in that toxic cycle for almost 3 years and I knew he was a narc for at least half of it sadly. My latest narc only lasted 2 weeks in love bombing and then started the devaluation. I told him i refuse to be his old furniture he's ignoring... 3 weeks later he told me he's not ready for a relationship, i knew then and there he's found someone else that is putting up with his bs. I've been struggling with this too. Because of the marriage I was in, I have bailed on multiple women who showed interest. It's almost like I have this "icky narc alert" going off in my stomach. Many people fall into this trap of believing they will be this good samaritan who magically change the Narc. We all know that 99% of the time they are not changing. Personality disorders in general have an extremely low prognosis of changing. The best thing to do is to stay quiet, don't expose the narc and let the mask drop in time.

I am so glad I have nothing connecting me to mine. I don't go looking at social media, we didn't have any mutual friends...I'm sure that was also why we stayed together as long as we did. He was able to live his alternate life in peace for the most part, but I think that comfort made him sloppy and his inconsistency caused me to ask questions, which of course was a no-no.

I didn’t know I was with a malignant narcissistic for the past 27 years. I just knew something was wrong and that he was not ‘ok’. I felt like I was not me anymore. After years of abuse and destruction I realised nothing I did would ever be enough for him and that he was broken and ‘unfixable’... dark. Thanks to channels like these I can now understand it. I’m only 8 weeks out and the process is tougher than I imagined. I had to flee or I felt for sure I would literally lose my life with him. He’s after me in every way imaginable, even moved and followed me 1800kms away, but also high on his new supply within a few days of my leaving, love bombing her to death, well an old supply to be honest, someone he’s had on and off affairs with every time he couldn’t get validation from me. Always saying he hated me but never left me in almost thirty years together. I was so hurt all those years of cheating and back burner relationships but now I just think they have no idea what they are in for. The other supplies are just a game to them. Mine is likely about to go to jail for yet another contravention of the protective order. That’s a small blessing perhaps?? Dunno?? Wonder what supply he will find in there?? Trying to look ahead and see a different me!!

Yeah ex-best friend (CN) just now filed for divorce, after she's been cheating with an old ex of hers (ON) for a year and a half. The ON was married to another friend of mine, she divorced him last year over the cheating already. I was just in the middle getting manipulated by the CN, so I'd keep her secret. Which i sort of did, but I did tell my friend that she should probably leave her ON husband because he wasn't loyal to her. Only after that did we all realize that they are both scoring high for narcissistic behavior. I left the CN around the time the ON got his divorce... They kept sleeping around all that time I assume.. till about 2 weeks ago when the CN filed for divorce and they simultaneously went public with their relationship. They are apparently proudly prancing around, flaunting their happiness. While the divorce procedure hasn't even officially started yet. Yeah.. that hardly looks sus ... She is now dragging me through a smear campaign probably because I know too much... It's gonna be an interesting year. I think that relationship is gonna crash and burn within a year. I just feel sorry for her kid, she really doesn't deserve to go through this 😢 she's barely 4yo.

Can’t help but wonder from time to time what that looks like. Had some nice conversations with her ex before me. I think that and these videos helped me find resolve more than anything.
