It's fairly simple (to explain, anyway), really. Someone correct me, if I miss anything of the basics, or get anything wrong. Each card has its own value as chip value (for example a 2 of any suit is 2 chips). And everything is based on poker, so each poker hand (for example a pair) has a base value of chips (a pair is 10 chips, two pairs is 20 chips, a three of a kind is 30, etc...), so you add the cards' value to the hands' base value (for example: pair of 2s: 10 chips for the pair, plus 4 chips for 2x card of 2). This goes along with a base multiplier for each poker hand. So if you play a pair, it's 10 chips (plus the chip value of the two cards) that get multiplied by 2, towards beating the blind (example pair of twos = 10 chips for the pair, 2x 2 cards = 4 -> 14 chips x multiplier 2) . You have a base 4 hands two win a single fight, each hand adding chips to the total to beat the specified amount of chips per "fight", or "blind". (for example the first blind of a new run always has 300 chips that you have to beat). There are 3 blinds per round ("ante") and 8 rounds to win. All values and multipliers can be modified/enhanced by all the jokers, planet cards, tarot cards, etc...They have straightforward descriptions most of the time, it's just the interactions between them that get crazy. And as great deckbuilders go, combining these simple things can be very difficult to get extreme rewards.

Your bus build is so fun you can throw basically any card and still score a ton. It is sad to hear Doughbert II is benched. But do not get defeated by it. I'm sure next doughbert will become the freshest boing boing bread for you.

Thank you for the stream Fauna. I didn't expect this game to be so entertaining, I kinda wanna play myself after watching you. So sad you and doughbert are at an impasse right now. If it's any help you can use a french baker technique, put the same amount of water and flour in a bowl and add 1% of the weight of the flour in yeast (if you use 100 grams of flour then add 1 gram of yeast), let it rest in the bowl covered for 2 hours and you can use that to replace sourdough in your recipe with the same amount. Take care and rest.

Watching live chat in the VOD really reinforced how much I hate chat. Not Fauna's chat in particular, just all chats in general. It's crazy how, every time a streamer asks a question, there's always a *substantial* number of people in chat who don't know what they're talking about confidently saying the wrong answer for no reason. You would think that with a new game that's getting really popular and a lot of people are playing, the streamer listening to and interacting with chat would actually leave them MORE informed and aware of how the game works, rather than misinformed and actively playing worse than when they were just looking at the game and not chat. Not that I tune into streamers to see top-level gameplay anyway, I expect streamers to play like normal people and make mistakes. What irritates me is when the chat makes the game HARDER for them and they make MORE mistakes than they would if they were just playing like a normal person.
