We had a mating pair build a nest in a tall Pine overlooking the river across the street from my house. They laid eggs and had babies last year. I, for the first time, just saw one of the younger ones hunting with it's parent! They're pretty unmistakable when you see two massive birds, one all brown, the other with the distinctive white head and tail sitting in the bare trees in late fall here. Nice to know they should be around for quite a while! Such beautiful birds!
