I know this comment is a little late to the game, but his is probably the simplest tutorial I've seen and I was able to get good results the first time I tried it. Many other tutorials want you to make what seems like an excessive number of guidelines and then trying to remember what guide goes with which guideline and which of five guide levels in between the guidelines, ugh!

Good tutorial. I just started cutting my own hair as well. I have the same Fast feeds with the 0-4 guards. I mainly only use the 0,1,2 guards.

Great video! Adds to what I’ve learned from cutting my own hair. The way you got rid of the bald line was clean, going to try that

@@Flaz1000 quick question when you do get rid of the line, do you use the corner of the blade or lie it down flat on the head? Just to confirm
@IM-uu7xq3 жыл бұрын
@@Flaz1000 and how often do you be cutting too, maybe once every 2-3 weeks?
@Flaz10003 жыл бұрын
Y B I’m using the corner of blade when getting the bald line out & actually for any small area that I wanna get out because it takes precision & accuracy. If you cut at small areas with the blade flat on your head you risk cutting off hairs that don’t need to be cut - the corner is safer but takes longer. And yep I usually cut every 2 weeks if I’m not being lazy.
@IM-uu7xq3 жыл бұрын
@@Flaz1000 ok that makes sense I’ll be doing it with the corner from now on! Idm how long it takes, as long as it looks nice I’ll be fine. Thank you for the detailed reply! Last question actually how long does it take you to do your haircut? Takes me about 45 mins to 1hr

Clean cut. How long you been cutting? The back and my left hand I need more trust.
@Flaz10003 жыл бұрын
I had been cutting my hair for a year & 4 months when I made this video. Just be patient with the left hand & trust your guidelines that you start with for when you get to the back.

Can you for yourself a lineup with a clipper instead of a trimmer?
@Flaz10002 жыл бұрын
Yes you can but the lineup won’t be as clean & sharp as it would be with a trimmer.

How do you get off the bulk from your head when fading
@Flaz10004 жыл бұрын
mj kamara you have to cut against the grain of the way your hair grows with the right guard.
@mjkamar1894 жыл бұрын
Flair Jordan so if I’m cutting the top with a #1 open , i just go against the grain to take off the bulk
@Flaz10004 жыл бұрын
mj kamara no after you cut the top with a #1 with the grain you can’t cut that anymore. To get rid of bulk near the top of your head (not on top) you have to cut the hair on the side of your head that is closest to the top of your head against the grain with the open #1 guard. And make sure to flick out in a C motion.
