==================================
Welcome to my KZbin channel Hairliciously. In this channel, I will be taking you on a journey of my FUE hair transplant progress. Towards the end of November 2016, I had a 1700 FUE hair transplant done in South Korea at Motion Clinic (en.motionclinic.kr) to lower my hairline and to fill in my receding temples. The FUE hair transplant procedure took me about 7-8 hours to complete and cost me approximately $5000 USD.
I will be doing daily updates on my hair transplant progress, so feel free to subscribe and ask any questions you have. Thanks for visiting!
Please like, comment and subscribe! :)
======================================
Products I am using to supplement my FUE hair transplant:
1. HAIRLICIOUSLY Dr Pen 1.5mm 1-2x a week. (temples and hairline)
2. HAIRLICIOUSLY Hair Growth Supplement 2x a day
3. Minoxidil (Rogaine) - Minoxidil slows hair loss progression and promotes hair regrowth. I've noticed that using Minoxidil helped me grow my transplanted hairs a lot more quicker.
4. Pumpkin Seed Oil 1000 mg + HAIRLICIOUSLY Vitamins
5. HAIRLICIOUSLY Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT)SHAVED MY HEAD: • I SHAVED MY HEAD AGAIN...
6. 0.5mg fin

I haven't used any topicals. Just micro-needling for about a month once a week. I can see small baby hairs growing on the hair line. Is this normal and will they turn into normal hairs to restore the hairline? Not ready to try topicals yet

I've been microneedling for exactly 1 year now. I started with a roller at 1.5mm (once a week). I also use .5mg fin, full cap of min foam once a day, Ketoconazole shampoo every other day. I added a hairliciously Dr. Pen A6 for almost 3 months now. I prefer the 12 needles over the 36 needles. I've seen good results over the entire year, more in the last few months. You gotta be patient and stick with it... Nothing is a miracle but I'm happy so far...

Probably your results are due to fin and not the dermaroller. Finasteride can keep improving hair density for a whole year.
@fotiskaf

Once per week with 1.5mm is a lot. Change to once per 3-4 weeks, else you aren't getting the highest potential possible. If you research about microneedling you will see that doing it more often than two weeks, can damage you. There is a healing period of 2 weeks after rolling deeper than 1.5mm and if you do it weekly, you do not heal..

@@epromi every 3-4 weeks for 1.5mm and you can do with a lower needle weekly. Why even clinical microneedling sessions are done every month? It takes time for the collagen to rebuild. Do a research and you will see that 1.5mm weekly is overkill

I've been researching getting an FUE or even DUI procedure eventually - BUT I wanted to try and regain as many of my own hair follicles as possible before doing these procedures. I've given myself about a year to 18 months to regrow as much as I can. FYI -I'm 48 and I'm between a Norwood 4 and 5. I noticed that my hairline was receding in my late 20's so, I've kept my head shaved since I turned 30 and thought that was it. BUT the technological improvements in hair restoration technologies has really astounded me. I'd like to see if I can grow a full head of long hair with a longterm hair restoration regimen and FUE/DUI procedures. Since November 2020, I've been using dermastamps and derma-rollers and I wasn't seeing much growth. I've switched to the Derm-Pens and I'm using a 1.5mm to 2.0 mm depth. At this depth, it's painful and bloody - so I'm also using a lidocaine numbing spray on my scalp before the micro-needling session , which I do once per week. I think that the deeper wounding depth from the Derma-Pen has stimulated more hair growth than the Derma-stamp and Derm-rollers. I'm also using a high dosage Minoxidil/Finasteride/Retin-A/Caffeine topical solution daily - that I bought from the MinoxidilMAX website. And I'm using a Hair Growth Peptide rom BioTe And I'm taking Biotin supplements and Collagen Protein twice per day. Truthfully, I was originally using the Collagen Protein for joint and cartilage repair - BUT I found that it's been making my nails and hair grow out SUPERFAST! I'm about halfway (6 months) into my hair restoration Prep Phase So far, I'm seeing little black and white hairs of varying thickness growing up at mid-scalp - although I haven't seen much hairline re-growth. The FUE/DUI procedures will have to fix my hairline and add hair density to my balding areas.

@@andreasfaber3556 My existing hair (sides/back of my head) is now down to my upper back, and my balding areas have short hairs that has grown in, but my hairline is still lacking hair. What the hair growth regimen has done is 'rescue' whatever functional hair follicles that I have, which means I will have a thicker 'undergrowth' of hairs that will make hair transplants look thicker on my scalp. I still need the FUE or DUI for the hairline.

@@carljacobson7156 Interesting, quite the same with me so far: Some new hair on balding areas (esp. crown and on the sides), but the hairline is evidently still lacking hair. Maybe I'll try microneedling with a higher frequency there (once a day or several times a week, but only at 1.0 mm, applying minox soon afterwards). If it doesn't work out either in the next months, I'll also think about an FUE for my hairline...

@maloxi1472
@maloxi1472 Жыл бұрын
Your gains should be quite stable, provided you stick with minoxidil too (topical or otherwise). However, unless your hair loss is minor and given that you don't seem to present side effects from inhibiting your 5-ar per see, this sparse schedule (3x per week) will give way better results with dutasteride, given its greater potency and much longer half-life.

@@mandarinduck5507 Finasteride should not contain lots of biotin. Ideally the pill should just contain finasteride and that's it. As for shampoo, I advise you to get a Ketoconazole shampoo such as nizoral which helps fight against hair loss. If your tablets are high dosage you can always get lower dosage tablets. Finasteride should be the priority though, the main defense should be that and then you can build around it.

It's not hard at all and it's just rolling a roller over your scalp that has microneedles. The microneedles create micro punctures in your scalp which stimulate blood flow and help bring collagen and other nutrients to the part that you rolled.
