I Always love the point about not having to turn to the shaved head if you feel comfortable and confident enough to rock the thinning look... its all about feeling comfortable. Wish it was around then As you get older you can laugh it off and grow into it if you know what I mean. Hi Harry Im just posting a comment to thank you. Honestly without you I probably would not have handled going bald the way I did. I watched a couple of your videos and I got excited and I wanted to feel the excitement everyone else was feeling on the channel. And to the one reading this be real with yourself because everyone has some strong beliefs and codes that they live by. And if you could accept that this codes and beliefs define who you are. Then you should embrace your bald head because you didn't choose balding it chose you. just something to leave you with... If people ask you why you went bald then tell them God only created a few perfect heads that's why we are the ones showing it off. Don't feel embarrassed about it because I know that most people do. They go into hiding mode well of course people will want to make fun and tease you I would suggest you help them make fun of you. By making fun of yourself. I've literally just shaved my head today :) It's been 7 years in the making lol. I was using hair fibres for the last 7 years but today was the day that i shaved it off. Everybody has commented saying it looks much better and that i look younger.

@baldcafe, I was around 19 when I first started losing my hair...the big thing for me is I had really long hair. I was (still am) into rock/metal and it was the worst thing that could happen to somebody back then (mid 80's) as far as confidence in your appearance goes. For a good 8-10 years I was borderline suicidal. I took the plunge at around age 30 and shaved it, not completely but mega short.....I've never looked back for a second and go as far as to say it changed my future. I ended up in employment that I wouldnt have been in with a massive mop of hair, my confidence was fine because in that new career, people only ever knew me with a shaved head.....these days, it's a much more accepted look and there's less stigma when losing hair. Hell, even movie stars are slap heads. Theres no moral to the story, my experience came through a necessity and being bald hasn't been a hindrance for a moment. My hair was crap anyway and I imagine if I had any, it would still be shaved off.

Geir Amund Lindberget then, be bald, beardless and white as can be haha. Doesn’t matter that much imo. If it bothers you that much there’s products that imitate tan that work pretty well. For the beard there’s minoxidil but you should do some research before using it.

I would advise gradually, as I remember my bald dad as a kid having a head so red that he looked like Red Skull from Captain America at the start of the summer, especially when he hadn't tanned for a while before hand. Ease the head into the sun, give the body time to gradually build that tan. Besides, Hitman Agent 47 didn't ever care about a tan or facial hair. Actually, he kind of looks like Agent 47 now!

Geir Amund Lindberget some people have said trying to build a tan. Some of us aren’t made to tan though. The best thing you can do is look after your skin to the best of your ability. Look after your body as much as possible also. Much better than premature wrinkles, sun spots and possibly worse imo!

I moved to China about 2 years after graduating Uni and began to learn the language the second year I was there. 2 years later I did a course at Uni in the mornings and worked up to passing the HSK5. I really enjoyed many things about my time there but there are many challenges with living in another country. I might well return one day.

I agree with you being happy in the way you look, even if you are receding and with thinning hair. For years I struggled with hair loss, so I decided to shave my head and wasn’t happy for years after. I came to the decision of growing my hair long as I always wanted long hair. I did achieve my goal of having long hair and I was happy. Some would say I looked awful but I didn’t care. I did eventually shave it all off. My point is, do what makes you happy, I know it gets hard due to how vain everyone is getting nowadays but more people start being themselves, it will out number the judgemental cunts 😎

My issue is that I have a receding hairline, otherwise the rest of my hair is thick and full. I don't particularly like the shaved head look (otherwise i'd do it already) and feel that it's a waste of my otherwise good head of hair. I am doing hair loss treatments etc. but it's really not making a difference, my hair loss is so gradual and just the hairline annoys me. I'd keep doing it if it means saving the rest of my hair, at the least.

I'm in the same boat. I've buzzed it pretty much bald now. Don't wanna use a razor to avoid skin irritation. However for the last week I also started applying topical minoxidil to my thinning hairline. If it gets thicker I'll grow my hair out again. If not, I'll just rock the bald look.
