I have always preferred a clean, shaven look on my head, especially in my younger days. I'm into big beards now that I can grow a simi decent beard. I think it's a medium-sized beard. 🤔 I love the look of a freshly shaved head and a huge beard. The bigger the beard, the better in my brain. Just take care of it and clean it, comb it, and keep it shapely and somewhat symmetrical.

I don’t want to necessary push you towards other meds but your strategy was certain to fail. Minoxidil doesn’t stop hair loss, it attempts regrow hair. That’s what Finasteride is for. Hence why you end up back to square one unfortunately without it. Whether that be after minoxidil monotherapy, HTs or whatever

I actually look at this a little different. This guy will basically not age now. People will get use to him looking bald whilst still fresh faced and youthful and so nothing much will change in him. Whereas if people in the work environment see you clinging onto thinning hair into your adult life it becomes more of a thing. I have shaved my head on an off since a teen so people have seen me bald over the years so now at 35 I’ve started to thin at front so it came off no problem, no hesitation. Remember guys, bald >>> balding. Absolutely no question. I’ve just always preferred the shaved head look, maybe I’m lazy so it’s low maintenance 🤣. Being in shape does help, makes it more badass. You don’t have to be The Rock but try and stay or get a little lean. Just to add, Diego looking cool.

Some people are very good with a shaved head, some other not much. He looks good. Also, usually one looks better totally shaved than balding or clearly receding, that is, a shaved head is better than bland conservative haircuts at best and comb-over at worst. The shaved head gives you a cleaner and more refined look, so it's totally believable that the first reaction is to compliment him, he looks better than before, probably years.

A pill everyday is no big deal, im blessed im not someone that has to take a pill everyday for any health issues or vitamins etc anyways, you get to keep what hair you have left and while ur styling ur hair include fibers as part of the styling process like you would another style product, eventually you can get a transplant and not need the fibers. Minoxidil tho i agree is too much effort everyday for the rest of ur life tho, finasteride and transplants is where its at. Plus i find having to shave every 3 days to fit the bald type more annoying than styling my hair and adding fibers every 3 days makes if feel like or getting a transplant. Plus id rather have hair so i get the choice to be bald or full hair or buzzcut instead of being forced into the bald stoic type you have to fit in to be accepted.

I tried shaving, and it didn't make me lose the mental burden that is hairloss. I don't remember the last time I was happy. Hairloss has completely derailed my life. I've never had a girl show interest in me after I started balding (so after 12 y.o.). I've never kissed, or even hugged a girl in my life, and now I'm just content with the fact that I'm alone. My own mother still prefers to put photographs of me when I had all of my hair in picture frames, not my recent ones. I tried to fill that growing void in me with literally everything: gym, church, academic achievements. Nothing helps. My soul is like a giant keloid scar. I've never hid my balding, or formed some sort of safe behaviours around it, and even tried to open up to some people about it. Nobody understands what it is like, even the people who's closest to me. It's so isolating. I'm just tired of life. I can't continue to live with the fact that tomorrow it's gonna be worse than today. Balding did not help to build up my character, it completely broke me.

From early teens i knew i would go bald, so when i was around 15? I started shaving my head, even though i had a full hairline. And used shaved for a long ass time, untill i met my current girlfriend, when i was 22 yo. Then she convinced me to let my hair grow, and i looked great, but then my balding got more and more pronounced and my temples where really high and i decided in covid to let my hair grow for 2 years lmao. It got ridiculous and i was like yeah, shaved head for life from here on. @@chilloff5948 I couldn't grow a beard until I was 29. So almost 5 years of being fully shaved. I grow one for the fall/winter and shave clean for spring summer now. The two things you should do are keep your bodyfat lower and workout your neck. If you're bald and skinnier and cannot grow facial hair, you should be doing neck workouts every single night for 5-10 min. You will be mind blown at how much it helps. Literally all you need.

Buddy, you look GREAT bald! Combine your natural good looks with a strong personality and you’ve got it made (American expression, not sure if it’s used in the UK!) You’re fortunate in that if you did choose to wear a hairpiece they’re cheaper and better-looking than ever nowadays. I’m much, much older than you and the hairpieces that were available back in the day were horrible in appearance (the hair was usually WAY too dense) and VERY expensive. This was long before the Internet became popular. Lace-front pieces were thousands of dollars (in todays money probably $6K and more and IMO not even as good as what’s available online for a few hundred dollars nowadays. Thin-skin and ultra-thin-skin pieces (think Sylvester Stallone, in my speculation) didn’t even exist when I was a balding young guy. I no longer wear a piece but I like the option that being bald gives guys: they can go au natural or wear hair at their choosing. For that reason I’d actually rather be bald than have a very receding hairline, it gives you more options.
