Nice video. I would recommend autoloot instead of the bag of holding. It gives you a potion to autoloot everything in a radius around you and puts it in a weightless bag for you to sort later. Also autosell is amazing as you can create your own list of items that will be sold automatically upon pick up. Never be encumbered again.

I would like a Party Face Swap mod, which would let you swap out who is talking to the NPCs (at least at the start of the concersation) as well as a Skill Consultation mod which lets you use your allies' skills. I can understand if some things should be handled by the person in front like Insight/Sleight of Hand checks but others I can't understand why you can't go "Hey Shadowheart, mind seeing why this guy is dying?"

I've been having so much fun with the aasimar half angel mod. Unlimited flight makes getting around so easy. I'm currently doing a guardian angel run where I'm the main healer and have to keep all my companions alive while they're controlled by the AI mod which is also a cool mod.

I would really love mods that added races and classes that were actually balanced? some people enjoy a bit of a challenge and its like all the mods are walled off by "oh and it does this spell that kills 25 bad guys and makes you unstoppable!" or if you are playing with friends its no fun to be "OP doomslayer paladin of laserbeams" and your buddy wanting to play a rogue is just sitting there like a bump on a log because your modded class is broke as fuck.

I got BG3 for a week now and to me it's the best game I've ever played, period. The world is beautiful, the story is amazing, the possibilities are endless. This is the first and probably only game, where I'm in danger of accumulating 1k hrs because I assume one playthrough won't be the end. I just thought about mods last night, especially the wasd mod and thought this game doesn't work 3rd person... well... I guess I'm wrong :D But nevertheless, I'm gonna finish w/o mods now, the first playthrough has to be original. Who knows how many more mods there will be once I'm ready :D Great video.

Edit: Enhanced Transmog has replaced Ultimate transmog and is infinitely better due to it being optimized fully and is compatible with many if not all other armor adding mods. Enhanced* Transmog now works with Basket Full of Equipment and has easily become my favorite mod so far. The only annoying part is that Basket of Equipment doesn't work well at all with Karlach and even Githyanki has hard time with a lot of skins still.

I adore the cambion half devil race... but, even with the "balanced" version i feel like it makes you a god. so ive had to ignore like every ability it unlocks besides flight for it to feel remotely balanced! still super fun and i adore their look so much... camera angles that your wings eat are rarer than youd think too

Im all in for cometics and the mod who (for example) shows the reputation. But im really carefull with mods who make the game "easier". Sometimes easier means more boring. For example if you get with level one a full legendary armor set which lets you two hit bosses.

There's plenty of mods you can use to make the game more difficult to a modular degree, so that you can offset any balance issues you might incur with using mods. If you pick up a weapon mod that ends up doubling your damage, a mod that doubles enemy health would be a good example of how to offset that and keep the overall difficulty of combat the same while still being able to use the cool weapon or class/spells. You are right tho, it's very easy to make the game brain dead easy with just the party limit increase mod.

Selune armor is super cool. Finished a PT with this as a holy paladin wearing the armor incinerating Selune's enemies with holy fire, was pretty cool (and it was the older version of the mod which damaged everyone around with moonlight beam activated). Tbh it's not even that OP. Smites are insane, even after the bugfix they're just too good so the armor does not that much imo. And you still can stick with very rare if legendary seems too OP. For the full roleplay as an aasimar kinda like dame Aylin I also recommend Aasimar 5e mod, Paladin tweaks (I think that's the name) which lets you choose the pal class deity, as it should be, and lastly Oath of Conquest paladin subclass mod.

Just FYI, if you non-lethal an NPC, they do drop everything they own. Bonus if you come back after a long rest, they're back up and STILL have all they had even if you looted it all previously. No mod needed.

@@Garrumx I think you missed the point. I don't care how anyone plays the game. If someone makes a mod that gives the player infinite HP that's awesome! Infinite inspiration? Great, way faster than save scumming. Playing the game in an easier way so you can enjoy and control the story more is great. What I'm complaining about, is mods that add new features without considering balance - not because other people shouldn't be able to have whatever level of balance they want, but because the mod might interest me. But I have to give it a pass, because it will cause a balance issue. Mods are just like Homebrew. Some of it is really well designed, most of it sounds good but isn't practical in play though because the designer didn't really think about the balance. Part of this is that people tend to think they need to mechanically justify their "cool idea" but then they forget that it's a GAME and part of the fun is the challenge.

After seeing the video call Cambions half Demons I had to scroll through the comments looking for if anyone would comment the correction. A few people did it in a sneaky way- good on them, but I don't trust people to figure it out XD. Cambions are Half Devil, not half Demon- what's the difference? **Pushes up glasses for nerdy emphasis to be followed with extremely nerdy rant** Let me explain- Devils are lawful evil creatures from the nine hells. The nine hells are the lawful side of the lower planes of the D&D Cosmology. The cosmology of the outer planes is made up of Good/Evil, Law/Chaos. So each section has a particular area, while the center of it the Prime Material aka "real worlds" like Toril (Forgotten Realms where Baldurs Gate is based in), Feywilds, and the Shadowfell, and the elemental planes around them. Then the circle beyond them is the Upper and Lower planes, the heavens and the Hells and abyss. Devils are from the Nine Hells mostly, and Demons are from the endless Abyss, the chaotic lower plane. Because of their chaotic nature, Devils hate Demons, and Demons- kinda hate everything because they are demons. They cause disorder and disarray, wanten mayhem, which is antithetical to Devils wheeling and dealing for order and power. The Blood war, the war Karlach was fighting in, was a battle of Devils Vs Demons, as the demons spill into the nine hells to spread chaos. Now- to punch back you say "Cambion actually means half demon though-" I would punch back with "That is because when talking generally in our history and culture, Devils and Demons are the same thing. In the game we are playing, in Dugeons and Dragons, they are not, they are opposing sides in an unending war of evil vs evil." Then you would- or should punch back with "Actually D&D says a Cambion is a half Fiend, and Fiend is the catch all term for Devils and Demons!" and I would then say "Yes, but, that would include Yugoloth, the neutral evil Fiends, the only cambions in the game shown, and the tieflings they are so closely related to, are all Devils." then you should say "What about the one in Raphael's-" and I would cut you off with "Technically that's a shape shifting DEMON/DEVIL since it's an incubus- but now I've brought up Incubus and sucubus and they are both a huge mess of sorta maybe not the same thing with both Demon and Devil versions in old lore that has since changed and now they are just Fiends and there are lawful and Chaotic and Neutral variants of them-" and then you should say "I'm done, this is too much." and then I would say- "No! wait! Come back! Let me tell you about Sharess and how they really should have used more Sune in this game! She's the goddess of art, beauty, and love! This beautiful game is a work of art and it's filled with THIRSTY COMPANIONS! Sune should totally be in this game!" Hope you enjoyed this nerdy rant as it was written to entertain, hopefully not annoy. Also- pretty sure that is the first time I have ever actually written the words wanten, and antithetical. Oh- and the mod that adds all the Cleric classes, apparently adds Sune as an option, and has the Peace Cleric which used to be the Love Cleric before re-branding or sorts! So- they are a Sune Cleric generally, or Sharess, but she's a demi god under Sune.

Carefull with the eldtrich blast mod. It requires layers upon layers of submods to work, and even the BG3 mod manager (not the nexus one) Wish I knew before spending roughly an hour downloading and playtesting. As good as the modding community is, I just wished they would speak to eachother to work on one big "framework" mod, assuming it's possible. If not, I wished Larian would help making it possible. Best modding support that I know of is rimworld. If only we could have something similar...

That ability that reflexively does psychic damage to all enemies within 45 ft any time you get hit is way overpowered for the early game. A bear wild heart barbarian with a low AC and a high charisma can just waltz into a horde of enemies, get hit repeatedly, resist all the damage, and watch the psychic damage nuke all the enemies to death. Not a well-balanced mod design.

The artificer class would just auto repair or remove Karlach's infernal engine. If you resect Karlach as Armorer, she can build a suit of armor that replaces her heart( this is the Ironman subclass). At level 3 she will always have tools necessary to repair the engine. Alchemist , she can just make coolant. Boom happy ending in less than 10mins.

The Rings expanded mod is absolutely broken, you can get two +3 stat rings… soooo 😂 recommended to have other mods to increase difficulty

Yeah so i installed it manually which is a little more complicated, but after doing that it worked for me

Read the install instructions of the wasd mod. For Vortex, you need to install both the mod and the mod loader and set their mod type to Engine Injector and then deploy them. The error messages that appear when you first load the mods into Vortex can be ignored.
