Absolutely @lyricpoet9614. Just leave the mods that are designated to override. They are designed to be in that location as they build around overriding some functions in the game. I'm a Mac guy and new to the world of PC gaming. Like just bought one to play BG3 new. I have a general question about modding. I've only been using simple mods that I can turn off up until now. I've been reluctant to install some mods because I also play multiplayer with friends who don't mod. Do mods like the Mod Fixer change the game to the point of not being able to play with those friends?

First of all welcome to the world of modding @fightingcorsair7297. Most of the mods in the list doesn't affect multiplayer with your friends as it only shows in your current setup. Meaning that what mods you have can only be seen by yourself specially beauty mods. If you turn it off most likely it will just go to the default settings. You can just turn it on/off easily with BG3Mod Manager. The only mods that affect gameplay are battle mods that add enemy/assets in the game that may affect saves. I hope that answers your question. What particular mod are you using @PeterParker-jk5ic. Make sure you have that you have BG3 mod Fixer properly installed: www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/141?tab=description. As well as the ImprovedUI: www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/366?tab=description. Check if you have the updated version. Please note that we just got Hotfix 16. So mods may have issues.

It is actually normal @milda.emilia. Especially for the Vemperens. 1.Make sure you moved the mods to the left side of the Mod Manager (under the "Active Mods"). 2.Also don't forget to "import" ImprovedUI and ModFixer. You will see the files under the "OVERRIDES". 3.Finally don't forget press the "Export to Game" button. Let me know if you need more help.😁

We confirmation that vemperens does work for patch 7. Please remove old improvedUI and Mod Fixer from load order. You can just grab the in-game improvedUI version to make it work. You're not late at all @northriver. It seems your game data path is not correct if it is grey. Please make sure you remove any quotation mark ("") in the path just to make sure. Also make sure your profile is set to "Public", Mod Order to "Current". You can also refresh if needed.

No worries@@northriver.. It is located in upper left menu under "Settings" then Open Preference or just CTRL+P. It will bring you to Preference window. Under general you can see Game data Path and Game Executable Path. For Game data Path (enter game file location). You can just easily right click BG3 icon in your desktop shortcut and "Open file location" it will direct you to your game folder and locate up to /data only ex. F:Baldur's Gate 3\Data. Copy and paste the path to Game data path. Game Executable path is basically the same process. Locate game folder the same way and locate your game .exe file. ex. F:Baldur's Gate 3\bin\bg3_dx11.exe. Copy and paste to Game Executable path. Don't forget to remove ("") after you paste the path.

no need to worry. Most mods after patch 7 does not go to overrides. That goes for "improved ui" or any UI mod so that means it'll work as long as you export the mod via mod manger. 😉

Have you tried extracting using the. " Extract to /" when you unpack the .rar file? It normally is has the .pak file inside. You can also check manually by just opening the .rar file.

What do you mean by "the mods are in the BG files"? The only thing that should be in the BG3 files to do with mods if you're using Vortex is a file saying "__folder_managed_by_vortex" in your "bin" folders.

It also looks like it needs a lot of setup to use which brings more issues if something is off. I recommend using simpler face mods that do the trick. Like the mods in the showcase. Have you checked the load order on the mods. Face mods should come first and then Body. You can check if the buff tiefling is compatible with the mod as well. 🤔
