I haven't played BG3 for almost a year because I kept adding mods and then the many updates and patches kept breaking my game which was hugely frustrating. I've been waiting for that all to settle and stabilise. I think I'll prepare for playing during the Christmas holidays. For now I'm just gathering a list of the mods I will get. They should support mods, its what keeps the game being replayable. Mods is what kept the original BG games going all these years. I just bought the game yesterday. I'll do a play thru without mods to see how it is, then I'll start looking around for mods I want. Mods I usually look for first is graphics improvements and character beautification mods. Then weapon, armor, enemy improvement mods.

First of great video I use couple of these myself some I’m definitely going to add. Secondly I wanted to share something I have been working on with you. The Reaper class I just released an update to it yesterday bringing in a total 19 new spells. 1 new weapon, a new Resource /mechanic. This to me over 60 hours hope you check it out

what I noticed with Better Hotbar.... it doesnt automatically add conditional spells to the hotbar.... like Tempest Cleric's flight or Dread Ambusher's initial turn's extra attack

I have found using the "Better Hotbar Vova's edition" fixes this problem I prefer it over the regular "Better Hotbar" mod

try moving all the red sidebars to the left. a hidden one should appear then with all the reactivavable effects

As mentioned the red sidebars tend to clump together sometimes so. So you just need to bring it back especially for the reaction and effects section.

Sorry but I 100% disagree about WASD. I make sure to uninstall it from any collection I try. I recently went back to dragon age and the WASD movement is one of the reasons I stopped playing again. The movement and being able to do point and click is usually what signals to me if it's actually going to be a good rpg or an arcadey one like what happened to dragon age 2. If its going to be included it better be as an option lol

Does have a point. Having it optional is a great compromise so all player who enjoy both can appreciate. Point and click does feel more tactical and precise. 🤔

Question Love this video and others that you've made, BTW! Thanks for the information. My issue is finding specific mods on the mod finder. I typically default to most popular, but even that is huge! I've tried typing in search for some of these mods for your videos or others, but it never comes up. I end up spending more hours going through the long list than actual play. My question is how do I search for these. Because so far, I've only found some by tediously going through the long list Page by Page. Last time, I stopped at page 75. I guess it was alright, I did find real amazing things that I wasn't searching for, but quite interested it such as the yuan-ti race!!! And the spell sword class! F*** yeah. I even found the star druid, which I wanted to play when I first bought the game. I even tried every option down the left side to hone in to no avail. I tried the creators name etc...

It may get quite crazy navigating the sea of mods to find the best ones and the most popular is only based on number of downloads not by category or type so that still won't help much. To help everyone I've included the links of the mods in the description for easy access. For ingame manager mods need to be searched manually though to make it easier make sure to tick what mod type your looking for. My Load order priority mostly follows this categories. From Top to Bottom. 1. Gameplay & AI 2. QoL & UI 3. Spells & Race 4. Equipment 5. Face, Hair etc.

What I am curious about is how Mystra's Spells interacts with other mods that require 5e Spells. I have whole classes that depend on 5e Spells for a good portion of their spell lists.

For mods that needs 5e to work is still going to use the spells from 5e. If your using Mystra's along with 5e most likely there will be overlap. The mods will still work it's just going to be confusing. I heard that the creator of 5e is working on porting the project soon. 🤩

Have you checked the "Preference" Tab under Settings if your game location is correct? Also always press the export button after you set your load order to let the game know that you are using the mods. You can also check the ingame manager if the mods are detected and manually activate it from there. Most likely if the mods are not detected the file destination is incorrect and can be easily fixed by correcting the "Preference".
