Sumptuous video Tree! I think I took an hour watching and reading all the info. Loved the secret details like the knickerbockers under the pink dress. Did you see Salma Hayek's trouser suit on Graham Norton, you would know how to describe it better but the cut was amazing. Thanks for this, it's such a treat as I don't get to visit London xx

How amazing was that! Thankyou so much Tree. I saw a Balenciaga exhibition many years ago here in Australia. The wonderful thing about the V&A exhibits was the deconstruction and reconstruction pieces. His gowns could very well fit into this day and age. Loved the surprise of the red silk bustle dress with the ties underneath the dress at the knees. I could rave on all day, but thank you again Tree.

I'm not that good making my own pattern's. I wish that I could find a class to where they would teach me all if that. I can sew, but I don't know how to alternate a pattern. One day I will. I've learned a lot from you, so one day my dress will come!!!

Hey tree, Nice to take a trip with you again. Just love all the wonderful garments, man were they nice to look at. You ways have nice places to take me to,, love it, Oh I've been doing a little sewing for myself. Did get the black skirt done. Most of the sewing was for people who have to attend events. Hoping I'll be able to work on items for me, the top I should be working on soon. Will take pictures and how I used the lace and elastic you sent. Hope you will like it. Have fun sewing, later.

Thank you so much for sharing this! Just for the sake of interest: A French friend of mine and her mother both worked at Balanciaga before and during WW II. During the war, she was part of the Resistance. Her mother was an expert seamstress and worked in the atelier and my friend worked with potential clients in sales and she dressed the windows. My friend's future American mother-in-law modeled clothes for the clients before the war. This friend was also a very down-to-earth woman. She was never a snob nor boastful. It's a fun anecdote!

@@StitchlessTV Hi, Tree! It's all true! I live in the U.S. My friend married an American G.I. after the war and came to live on the West side of Michigan, which is where I live. Her children and I went to the same high school and I am still friends with her daughter. My friend's name was Helene. Sadly, she has passed away, but I would have loved for you to know her. She was a very charming and warm woman with a sparkling personality! She also had a fabulous sense of style! :) XXOO

Wow! Thank you for sharing! I love vintage dresses. I kept looking at the designs and thinking I could make that I could make that one, oh no I can't make that one. So fun to watch. I have an eleven year old granddaughter who shares the love of designing and sewing with me. She had even taken some professional sewing lessons. Praise God!
