I run the old freeman 200 2tie bailers. Great to see farmers making hay. Just stared my final cutting up in Washington state.

That's funny, Sunny D is a couple miles from our house. My wife and I will sometimes drive through their lot, you know like car shopping. You were talking about that hay being 40 day hay. We cut on a 40 day rotation, but we only get 3 cuttings a year. The difference between Arizona alfalfa and Southern Oregon/northern Cali hay. Take care dude, happy haying🤙🏻

Using air to actuate the hydraulics is one extra system to fail. Converting them to electric over hydraulic would be the best way to go. Using a electrically actuated hydraulic system could greatly simplify the hydraulic plumbing with a single multi valve block. Those systems are extremely reliable and they are commonly used on heavy equipment, tractors and forklifts.

My buddy has one like that. His only complaint is, he can’t feather it. Slowly open, or close, or tilt. It’s all or nothing. I’m sure that can’t be upgraded.
@shawnchurch3162 жыл бұрын
@@BalesHayFarmandRanch That would actually be a easy upgrade using a electronic variable orifice valve with potentiometer based controls. Has anyone added cameras to the ends of the forks on a squeeze, that seems like it could really help or cameras in other locations.

Do you put a cap on your steamer where you put RO water in? Or do you guys just run water through it to clean it.
@BalesHayFarmandRanch2 жыл бұрын
It gets a cap. The steam is made from the water.
@jonnynevitt8112 жыл бұрын
I noticed in the video your steamer is running with out the cap on the back. I only noticed because when we bought our steamer it did not come with a cap on the back and they made it sound very important to keep that area clean when filling with water. So I bought a cap to try to keep it clean.

Maintenance is a great thing, especially since you get to do it. The Big Green Farm Machine Co. doesn't like owners to repair their own equipment. Right To Repair seems not to be a problem in your world. Those machines you run seem to last 4-evah !
