Yes indeed my worst camera work ever
I haven't sorted a system for video cycling yet BUT...
I did have two attempts at this with two different cameras and it was all crap BUT...
I just had to put this footage up as it's a rare moment in time and takes in so many places from Pantai Jerman to Seminyak that I'm sure you will know or perhaps are dreaming about
The music gets better as does the footage as we go on

Honeymoon at the Legian Beach Hotel ........33 years ago. Interesting but a bit sad to see how "interchangeable" the whole beach front appears now. I know it is not in detail but in overall appearance it is. Still, given half a chance, we'd be there in a heartbeat. Stay well and keep enjoying, especially the chance to cycle about, I'm envious of that alone.

Wow... how good was that place then when you could wander from your bungalow on to the sand late at night. Just looked at it on booking.com and the rooms look pretty average these days. Seems to have gotten rid of all the charm. I was thinking something similar. The Hotels along there don't look like much from the beach side and that beach wall? Don't get me started... :) W

I know its silly question but how do you manage to ride a bike on the beach? I've done it but ain't work well with the whole sand situation lol

Not a silly question at all. I entered the beach getting a 100 metre run up to ride down a couple of stairs and power through the soft sand. Put your bike in the biggest gear you can manage, pedal like f*&k and gear down as you lose speed. Your weight needs to be completely off the handlebars. As for the bit you see on film. That is like a slow road., with rock hard sand. Gear down and keep the legs spinning.

Nice ride around the beach make sure give that bike a good clean to get the salt off. I read that the authorities were only allowing 75 people on the beach at a time. Did you see anyone counting?

So yes.. washed thoroughly. Today they were blocking the smaller exits with wooden box shaped structures. Then they will police entry and exit. I read that Sanur was allowing 1500 people at a time on the beach. Not sure but in essence, they are opening and closing down for the new normal

Happy Monday Waz, good to see things slowly reopening over there. Few news points from Melbourne regarding Bali and Indonesia over the past 2 days: 1) Claims Indonesia (not just Bali) still with rising COVID cases, is there much news transparency in Bali supporting this? 2) News of Bali planning to reopen in September, however the government cautioning/advising Australians to not travel to Bali, with no advice on a future date as yet. 3) Government reports there is a large cluster of Aussie expats in Bali whose 30 day VISA's are about to expire, creating a quandary with those seeking to return to Australia as there aren't that many flights to facilitate this within the next 3 weeks (as stated on the news). I take it you are fine there with your extension? Other than that, hope you are going okay Waz, loving the bike rides! Terima Kasih.... as always!

Bali Life Me I think it would be a huge hit. I love the Balinese music but after a week or so you get a bit tired of it. Apart from music you could have text ins, a modern version of phone in, or someone gives advice about what’s happening with visas, who’s looking for what or whom, all the usual expat stuff, but music would be the main go. Just a thought.

@@BaliInsiderGuide We have a villa, in fact two, one you've seen but the other is villa Bindi. You can check it out at Private Ubud Villas like before. We are there two months of the year and meet up with expats every Friday for dinner. Plus I belong to blog called Baliblog where expats from all over the island discuss all their problems. There is a guy called Steve who runs Private Ubud villas and he is the go to guy for just about everything in the Penestan/Ubud area. The Writer's Club, art world, and the who's who in the area. He's an ex headmaster from Qid, is gay, runs a great business managing 26 villas with 48 staff. I tell you all this because he's a real entrepreneur and could say its a crap idea or point you in the right direction. He's also trying to recover from cancer, had his bladder removed and a few other bits. Worth a drive mate and it would make a great clip. Sorry to prattle on.
