Your guess was spot on. They walk right around me. Was actually kinda embarrassing. Update. Last night we won 10-2 and I was first star. Cut the angles better. Stayed on my feet when I could. No penalty shots or shootout scenarios this week.

Update. After losing game 1 in a shootout, I did not lose another game. In the championship game we won 4-2 in a usually high scoring league. Again, I stayed on my feet as much as possible and cut angles. My reflexes were getting quicker each week. Not bad for an old man. LOL!!! Thanks for the quick tips anyways. They worked. My GAA was in the low 4s. Not bad for a high scoring league.

You can order online from the website :) In regards to your question, it's definitely a better strategy to be aggressive with your positioning and cut the shooter's angle as much as possible. One, you give them less to look at. Two, you also don't make yourself as vulnerable to a curving ball. On the penalty shot, the key is to stay on your feet as long as possible. I'm guessing that what often happens is that you come out to challenge, commit, and the shooter walks around you?

Just started playing again after a 25 year layoff. Where can I find this DVD? Better to stay back in net or come out to cut angles? I am thinking stay back and force shooters to pick. I am 6'4", 270. I fill the net, however, I am horrible on penalty shots because I come out too far I think.
