I messed up on the Souther scope. FH Souther was in Massachusetts, not Philadelphia. Sidle was the maker in Philly.

Thanks to a bunch of folks in Montana, this Arizona boy just picked up his first Ballard. A No. 2 in .32 Long with an incredible bore. Gonna figure out how to play this one off very carefully!

That gun is a working piece of art and history. Not much recoil but then it is a 16 pound rifle. Not sure I would want to fire it in a off hand match either. Probably wouldn't last too long. Thank you for bringing this one to light. Anything with Schoyen on it can't be all bad...
