That thing was running like a gem! Got the TMaxx fixed. The ez start engine was shot so it couldn’t turn it over. Running like the beast it is again and it’s 9 plus years old!

I have a super tigre .27, unfortunately all the pieces are in a baggy from when the guy tore it apart years ago and I acquired all his nitro stuff. I did get a brand new ofna LC comp buggy still in the box thats never had a drop of fuel ran through it. It has the big block engine on it. Great video!

The thunder tiger .21r motor is a sounds like sweet runner ... I have a pro .21 thunder tiger motor in my thunder tiger eb4 buggy that thing takes a beating and always runs .. if I don't run my traxxas 2.5 I run the thunder tiger and it never fails to impress me ... even runs better on the track down the straights then more modern nitro motors.

hey brother! I totally agree the thunder tiger .21 from this era was incredible in terms of tuning and reliability. I have yet to come across a motor as easy to start and run as this one. It also runs very cool and starts easy. Unfortunately the entire thunder tiger brand in the USA is highly rare, thats why I've been looking for trashed old Schumachers, just so I could get those motors!

Exact same engine as the associated pro 21r. Between the two versions I have around 8 of these. My first one came in a thunder tiger MTA4(same as associated MGT) for pushing a large monster truck it did a pretty good job. I even think I had Big Joes on that truck. Had a lot of fun with it. Not a screamer, but plenty of low end grunt and tough as nails. The Schumacher purple cooling heads without scratches are good collector pieces, as the fusion/menace/gtr will only go up in value. That Schumacher pipe has decent top end but barely any bottom.

I have several of these engines. Lil port work on the sleeve makes them scream. I have 4 Schumacher fusions and 1 Schumacher menace. All 3 speeds with this engine. The engines are easy to tune also. I run 30% nitro in them

hey my dude! you're 100% right, these are great engines, easy to tune and easy to run and idle. Might not be the most powerful in stock form, but I'm very happy with the consistency! I've been buying old beat up Schumachers just to get these motors, lol. 3-speed BABY all day long! I have 2 that actually shift.

hey buddy! I just measured the Hex size for you. It's a 6mm hex. You could get any Allen key and cut it to fit with any drill. Pretty good idea of using a standard 6mm hex size for that time.

hey buddy! If you're missing the starting shaft (sounds like you are), you could buy a correctly sized Allen/HEX key/driver and just cut it to fit the starter, and use a drill to turn the engine over. Many people have used this cheap and effective method.

LOL, I'm kind of a Nitro ADDICT, I find it really tough to sell anything in the nitro fleet, although the electric I could care less about, they are all replaceable. The nitros on the other hand are IRREPLACEABLE in some regards, you know.
