Launched September 2016. Motors: N2500 (booster), M685 (sustainer). Max velocity 2300 mph @ 38,000 feet (Mach 3.4)

Beautiful footage. So much to learn from that. With each of these high altitude launches we see that all aerodynamic forces stop about 120k feet. The rocket can be ascending yet wobbling so much it makes not difference if the fins are there or not. And that is whrmen the sound goes away. So this flight was great because we have video and sound of the descent until the recovery system deployment at a very low altitude. Thank you.

I am guessing the drouge did not deploy and the main did not have time to fully open or it got ripped apart trying to open. Do you live near Blackrock?

Yeah the drogue never deployed at apogee and it came in ballistic 😳. When the main deployed it shredded instantly.
