I remember when this game came out, I can tell the "Fonzie" story as I knew it. My Grandfather owned a coin-op business, by this time he was tired of looking for games so he let my Dad pick them out. We lived in Chicago, and my Dad and Grandfather knew many people at Bally's so we would go right to the source to get new games. I went with my Dad and we were looking around and he saw the 8 Ball game, he called me over and said look at The Fonz game. Everyone kind of made the shhh sound and told him not to call it that. They knew it was The Fonz, just like we knew it was The Fonz. They tried to keep it on the low down, but they knew what they were doing. Henry Winkler did not own The Fonz, ABC did. That's how I know he didn't sue them.

I've been playing pinball for over 40 years and maybe it's just me but whenever I play with the room lights turned off my score drops considerably. With the lights turned on, I'm a wild man. Thanks for your time and effort for posting. Brings back a lot of good memories.

Used to play this at the local roller rink back in junior high. Watching you play along with the great narrative was a trip down memory lane. Thanks for bringing back some great memories. Would love to find a good quality machine for sale!

I remember seeing that game at a little seafood take out place called Broadway Shrimp in East Chicago where I lived growing up. I remember hearing it say, STOP TALKING AND START CHALKING!!! I think that's to attract the person who is deciding what to play next. Xenon did the same thing. Try Xeeenoon!!

THe last time I played this game was at the County Fair back in 1986 Also if you watch the later episodes of All in the Family, (this was when Archie bought Kelsey's Bar) you would see this game in the bar and it would also be lit up.

Henry Winkler said recently "I always thought that was just me on the backglass." He never realized that it was supposed to be slightly different.
