I own the quartz version, think its a killer watch, yet I am struggling a bit with its sloppy dial typography. The numerals are almost touching the indices and seconds track and the overall arrangement is semi-square when it could easily be circular. Same for the logo with its clearly misspaced L and T. I know some of the original watches were also less than perfect in this regard but on a watch this nice I'd rather have an equally attractive dial.

Very thorough review. Thanks! Re: 18mm straps. You might want to check out Haveston single pass canvas straps. I have on in 18mm in a sort of olive/khaki color which is WW2 period correct for US Army. It is phenomenally comfortable in hot weather. The floating second keeper is a brilliant Haveston innovation.

Lighting is something I've played with quite a bit and it never brings out the details like my current setup. I agree the light can be distracting at times, but most of the time it helps some great light and details. But I'll keep working on it

I'd probably not wear is on this style of nato, just to make it sit closer to the wrist. But the watch itself pretty much looks like a dirty dozen homage is supposed to look. I really like it!

It still works well, but having nothing under the watch does make it wear much nicer.

So how has it held up over the two years since you released this video? I got one second hand just a few days ago, and while skeptical of the Seagull movement I've been really impressed so far. I do wish it had a hacking feature. Is there a way to set the sub dial so its a little more accurate? The watch has been keeping really good time, the sub dial is just set a little too fast but it's still on the mark for when the time is supposed to change. If that makes any sense.

Unsure as I sold mine shortly after review. But I have no doubts about the watch or movement. Should last you years without issue. No way to set the subdials, sadly. You could let the power reserve die completely and then hand wind it to get the time going again AR just the right moment.

Another great review for a plain, simple, small, nice looking watch. Btw, i see new format (segments, blur/grey +title) in vid, allow me to say bit american 😉, i like it but don't know if it becomes a "drag" if you want to say different things for another watch because of the titles. Interestingly mine has only one set of springbar holes but they happen to be a perfect to fit for the flat link blasted bracelet from an SNK 803, it just slides on really easily. Slightly different blasted finish but it looks great.

I'm my experience the Baltany will still be slightly better... Better crystal and better lume. Also the movement needs to be considered... For this, I'd be ok with quartz. If you are too, I'd probably go with Militado

Have worn it every day for over two months now. Set the time first day and have not set it again since then. Dial up runs fast, crown up runs slow, on wrist is pretty spot on. So if you're pretty diligent you can self-regulate this watch to well within COSC accuracy. I'm running it with default regulation from the factory, so I find this watch to be pretty amazing. It's also solid quality and wears great on a 2-piece canvas strap.
