Fitting, as I’ve seen Joe fans love it. Basically if your a Transformers fan first you’ll probably hate it, but if your a Joe fan first you’d probably like it.

I was jazzed about these AT FIRST because I love seeing Transformers crossover with other properties and GI Joe being a sister property and the fact the Joes and the Autobots have crossed paths many times in various contiunites it would be a no brainer to have official collab figures and the fact it took THIS long blows my mind. But then I saw reviews of the set I wanted that being Megatron and I was quickly turned off. I'm a Transformers fan not a GI Joe one and it's a great looking robot but as others have pointed out, it just looks like Megatron took parts of a HISS tank and used it as armor and the transformation is not great particularly in how you have to take the shield and use it to cover up his head and chest in vehicle mode. It was a great idea on paper and it's a good robot mode but the vehicle mode and the steps to get there hold it back from being a great figure and it's not worth $90. It's just not. I've seen it on sale for $70 and that's still too much.

It’s kind of sad that one of weakest recent Transformers Crossover collabs was with one of Hasbro’s first party IPs. You’d think they would knock it out of the park considering they have 100% ownership of both franchises (but as Balt stated this was more of a GI Joe team project with assistance from the TF team).

Shame cause this could've and should've been a win for fans of both franchises and according to a rumor there's a third one on the way that is a Thunder Strike vehicle that turns into Soundwave. I'm more on the Transformers end of things but this is a bummer for everyone and it seems the best collab is STILL that Combiner Wars repaint of Powerglide that becomes a Rattler Plane.

I do recall there was a 3P of a Joe-x-TF figure of Optimus. I just don't remember which Joe vehicle Prime was paired with.

Why did Baroness look like Daria going through her goth phase? Also Megatron itself does 2 things I hate Transformers to do, prioritizing the vehicle over the robot mode, and shell forming. On top of that the robot holds together SO poorly I've seen dollar store knock offs that functioned better as figures.

The Baroness appears to be a re-release of the original figure from 1984. Same accessories as well.

I'm just sad that mine came without one of his turret guns. Other than that, I actually like the figure. Sure, it has its problems (like its extreme hollowness and the fact that his fusion canon attaches to the back of his hand instead of his forearm like it's supposed to), but as a whole it's a good figure.

It's definitely more Hasbro than Takara but I forgive a LOT with this fig because we finally got a legit GI Joe x Transformers toy. Megatron in particular is my favorite and because it is possible to transform from tank to robot with Baroness sitting in the turret. And if you're so inclined you can sub in the Super 7 Joes & Cobras to complete the look.

Yeah this and Bumblebee are kind of letdowns. Really this should have been designed by the Transformers team. It's one thing to have a static vehicle mode, it's another have that same vehicle also turn into something else. I kind of think that not only would the transformation been better but we wouldn't have been stuck with a classic 80's look for him that's been shoehorned into a H.I.S.S tank. I really think that whoever came up with this was too set in having a classic looking Transformer transforming into a classic looking Joe vehicle rather than having a more cohesive figure that blended the two.

yeah i am glad i passed on both of these figures. the quality and engineering is low even for main line standards and the price they have these figures at you would thing they would be a lot better. the way they look they could be second hand or dollar store transformers with all the gaps an QC issues. the only thing i can compare it to is the KO Termanis Hexitron figure i picked up on wish. OMG that thing sucked bad! still get great review though.

If they brought in more tf designers it could be better, but it shows gi joe designers are in full control. But gotta say if these were released during the 80s they would fit in both joes line and tf. Joe vehicles are hollow to begin with.

How is it that the best TF/joe crossover figure is still a powerglide retool from combiner wars?

Bumblebee's wheels should have been in his legs or behind them (much like a Movie Bumblebee) or he could even be standing on a set. The other wheels should be in his shoulders or be his shoulders. Instead they all just hang off him and get in the way. Also it likely would have worked better as a desert deco AWE striker too. & I kinda hate the blue headlamps too. Transformations that get in their own way is way to often a thing the last couple of years of more and it's super annoying. It makes something like the stunticons a chore to transform. & some transformations are just bloody awful like Pointblank and Hotshot. You might get an end result that is fine but the process of getting there can be much less than pleasant lately.

Isn’t the head on this just the siege megatron head upsized I also think the g.I joe crossovers are the most disappointing I wish they didn’t try and make them work with the 6 inch figures and just made the transformer actually good

I think that defeats the purpose. The idea of making gi joe sized vehicles that transform is much better for the crossover. Pleases both fans. Hasbro just got lazy and cheap with it. That seems to be the direction of the company as a whole.
