When you’re reeling the fish in and you stop reeling are you kind of forcing the reel to move or are you just stopping?
@MarquisGunderson-nx3zr Жыл бұрын
Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit kzbin.infoUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.

I truly appreciate all the info you share with us about offshore fishing. I am learning so much and cannot wait to catch my first snapper on my own boat without a guide. Last time I went out I had a bit better luck and caught a few bonnethead sharks. I can fish inshore and have caught lots of red fish, trout, and flounder. All this offshore stuff is new to me. Love the content, and the educational info. Thanks from a new offshore fisherman in TX.

I don't no what it is but those blue and white skirts are by far the best color combinations. If you new how many fish had been caught on a blue and white islander your jaw would drop it always produces atleast in the Atlantic for sure looks like the gulf too

Have you ever considered a Fell MOB device for your boat. You are out a lot by yourself and trolling leaving the helm. If you fall overboard with out something to kill the engine your boat is gonna ride off into the sunset without you.
