For the attention of Marina, Rishi Sunak went to a Southampton FC match (who has supported his home city football club from an early age), and unlike Free Gear sat in the stands and not in a directors box. If she's going to indulge in whataboutery she needs to get her facts right. Incidentally Boris's loan for the wallpaper was promptly returned and he paid for it himself. She moans about the outcry over Sue Grey and her payrise, how soon she forgets the outcry about Dominic Cummings's pay rise when he held the same position. Few can forget the duplicity of the woman who investigated partygate and implicated Boris and Rishi who were not really at any "party" as such. Then showed her independence as the investigator by joining the Labour Party as chief of staff very shortly afterwards. It's nothing to do with her being a woman it's because of her actions. Finally Keir who even before he became PM it seems, was so full of his own self-importance that he needed a security detail and a hospitality box.( which he should have payed for himself). Where as the PM Sunak could sit in the stands. But all that aside it's not the freebies so much that people object to. It's the pure unadulterated hypocrisy of the man who along with his deputy were calling for Boris to resign over amongst other things the wallpaper issue, whilst having his nose in the trough himself.

Whilst we're on the whataboutery circuit so to speak, do you remember Lord Derry Irvine who was a Labour Chancellor under Tony Blair. Who decided to use £650k of tax payers money to decorate the Lord Chancellor's Residence in the House of Lords. That was in 1997 incidentally when Blair had just beaten Major, one of the reason of the Tories downfall then was sleaze but Irvine didn't take long to start taking the mickey.
