When I was little, I used to like snacking on nillas dipped in milk. It's like my mom was prepping me early to get hooked on banana pudding/banana cream pie.

Ohh, I used to do that too! Sitting on a balcony with an elder neighbor sometimes It's such a simple, good taste.

I always peeled the banana from the top, or the branch part, usually we get the bananas still in one bunch, so when you rip one off the branch thing, it usually rips open the top of the banana for you as well
@joshuacooksthendraws2 ай бұрын
And the branch is basically a handle to pull which makes it intuitive! Haha

I like that you made your pudding from scratch! It makes such a huge difference. Also, I love it with vanilla wafers, but recently started making it with chessman cookies. So good!
@joshuacooksthendraws2 ай бұрын
It truly does! I kept seeing mostly recipes using instant pudding mix which is still great. But i feel like making it from scratch adds that extra oomph haha. Chessman cookies sounds amazing!

does the custard make the wafers soggy the day after? very tempted to try but not a fun of any soggy texture lol
@lvramp2 ай бұрын
it does, maybe try topping it with more wafers after you serve so u can get some crunch
@joshuacooksthendraws2 ай бұрын
Unfortunately it does. But thats why I like to add the crumbs on top right before serving for that textural variety!

Ya know, you can squeeze more flavored buy assembling the pudding while the custard is still warm the custard infuses the the bananas that way. To bad I didn't make any but family issues called.

Honestly, not a fan of banana pudding. I always find it to be too sweet, and not a lot of texture difference. Yet, I like tiramisu lol
@joshuacooksthendraws2 ай бұрын
Haha thats why I like making my pudding from scratch so I can adjust the sugar ratios better :D But oooh I loveeee tiramisu. Since the texture is pretty much the same (lol), maybe you like how the coffee balances out the sweetness?
