Banana Pudding with Homemade custard. Y’all this is like your grandmother's custard.
Just tasting it will bring back floods of memories. It’s so smooth and light.
Also, yall, this soap is absolutely wonderful. Please look up Bentonite Clay, and read about all the benefits.
This clay is in the Amish Farm Soap. That’s why it is so good for your skin.
Here is the soap link for the USA

And y’all sweet tea. Well, I don’t have to tell you how wonderfully refreshing it is. You know! So get you some.
Cooking with Brenda Gantt, Andalusia, Alabama.

At its most basic, cooking means applying heat to food. Whether the food is baked, fried, sautéed, boiled, or grilled, it's all cooking.
People still cook some foods over an open flame, in addition to using tools like microwaves toasters, and stovetops.

My mama taught me to make homemade banana pudding and used a recipe very similar to this except she cooked the custard in a double boiler. I still remember standing on a chair right up at the stove stirring the custard constantly for what seemed like hours! But man, you just can’t beat a good homemade banana pudding. Nothing like it!❤

Just come across you, I'm so Blessed cuz u remind me so so much of my grandma (Nene) she come from sand mountain Alabama, she would always tell me about the church revivals and tent meetings or something like that, she said that was only time they got out of house and her and her sisters like to go meet up with the boys there🤭 Lord have mercy lol. Her name was Cornelia Mae Davis, Bennion was her maiden name, they had to make food stretch cuz she had 15 siblings. She loved biscuit and fried taters or hoecakes and gravy mainly. I guess her parents didn't have TV back then to entertain themselves so they just made babies🤭 may God Bless you and yours!

Nowadays people buy unbaked pies, cobblers and other premade dishes take it home and bake it. Then they call it homemade. Love and enjoy watching your KZbin videos. Thanks again 🙏🙏🌟

It’s actually how I have to eat them. I have a weird banana allergy that I developed in adulthood. Took me forever to figure out that’s what it was. I’ve always loved bananas and would eat them all the time. Well, I started noticing that I’d get a pretty nasty tummy ache after eating one. Kind of like indigestion but more of a burn in my belly. Finally, my doctor gave me an allergy test series and said I was moderately allergic to bananas. He said to try eating really ripe ones. I did and was fine. I mean they have to be VERY ripe and spotty on the outside. Otherwise, I’ll have a pretty gnarly belly ache for a couple hours. 🤷🏻‍♀️

My husband’s aunt made a similar pudding but When I made it, I made it in the microwave. After I mixed egg yolks, sugar and cornstarch, I added warm milk then microwaved the mixture for 1 & 1/2 min, whisking between each 1&1/2 minutes till it was thick. It usually took around 6 minutes. So if I need a dessert in a hurry, this is definitely my go to!

When I make my pie fillings, I heat my milk in the microwave. I mix all the dry ingredients together, then when my milk is hot, I add the dry ingredients and the eggs yolks. Then I put it back in the microwave, and about every two minutes or so I stir until it is thick. I then take it out and add vanilla and butter. Then it’s ready for the pie shell! Happy and Blessed cooking!
