So a local bangkokian has told me that “I want to go fishing” is “มผ ao ตกปลา” I don’t understand the “ตก”. I want fall fish? I see this in attached to naam for waterfall so its very confusing. My logic tells me “pom yaak bpaai plah” and I have also thought of adding “Kam-lang” for the “ING” continuous present tense of fish/fishing. I really don’t even want to go fishing but I was curious about how this works with I want to go + verb, since fishing is an activity. And thank you for your great videos. I spent 11 hours listening to them yesterday while driving.

Hi KruSmuk! I have a question. ไน่ + verb ไม่ได้ + verb are they different? because I learned that ไม่ + verb is for the negative of the present simple, and ไม่ได้ + verb is for the negation of the present continuous and the past simple

Your videos are very helpful, kru! Can you teach us about the most natural pronunciations? A lot of pronunciations I hear in dramas are sometimes different. Like a-ray is pronounced as a-lay or ror becomes lor.

Wow! That could be a very fun topic. I will definitely make one about this.

I have a doubt. Why in the sentence: "I am kidding" the translation is as follows: ฉันล้อเล่น Why does the word ล้อ appear? Was it just a form of expression? Are there any other phrases you can use the ล้อ as a present continuous? thanks and congratulations on the video!!! 🙂
@foucault14792 жыл бұрын
"ล้อ" is a verb meaning to mock "เล่น" is also a verb meaning to play but neither of these involve with the word "ล้อเล่น" in terms of meaning. "ล้อเล่น" is combined word of the two but has meaning of its own which is "kidding". It's not as adjective as in English; It's a verb. For the sentence that uses ล้อ in continuous form: เขากำลังล้อเพื่อนของเขา (He is mocking his friend.) ล้อเลียน is more famously used for implying it's in verbal act. หยอก and แกล้ง (yhok and kleang mean to tease) are used as well but they imply no indication towards the act that it's being done verbally or physically. It's such a long time since you've asked, I don't know if you still need an answer.
