Yes, Jesus did say that He is the "way, the truth and the life." Telling my sister this verse and statement of Jesus, made her disown me for not being inclusive and she will not invite me to any family gathering or speak to me since November of 2020. Interesting enough, my sister rejecting the Word of God and me, led me to find a local Bible based church. Now, I am grateful to God but also thank my sister for banishing me. I recently officially became a member of this local church. "And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose." - Romans 8

I relate to the family dynamic...many would. I take some comfort in the command that we are not worthy of Christ if we're not willing to turn from our family and worldly commitments at times. And of course jace's own Brothers seemed not to get him until after he was crucified and rose again. My prayer for you is that your testimony would cause your sister and others to rethink their self-righteous pursuits and turn and be healed according to the mercies of God through Christ..Alone.

Margo, I can’t believe that your sister disowned your sisterhood because of this biblical verse, there is something behind her behavior that is not seen or understandable.she has a dark side in her personality and needs forgiveness on your part and enjoy your Christianity and the love of our Savior Jesus. I agree, whole-heartedly, with Dr. Stephen Nichols, that a great place to start reading the Bible is the Gospel of John. It explains what the Gospel is, and it explains the life and purpose of Jesus and God's Sovereignty. 😊
