I feel it's one of the reasons why they are not as well known or as big as they should be is because some of the opportunities where they could have been seen by a wider audience by playing with certain bands or playing a certain festivals & venues were taken away from them for one reason or another...So losing the chance to show what they can do to folks who may not have ever seen or even heard of them....Such a shame..as they deserve to hit the BIGTIME..They have worked so hard..and they rock!....🥰..Long May They Reign!👑

@@micheleceresoli4456 Well...they have done a couple of covers...But thankfully it's not their "bread & butter"...The main reason I didn't get into them sooner was because I had the stupid notion they were a "Iron Maiden" cover band...So I kept passing them over...But once I checked out TRiDENT (Girls Rock Band Kakumei)...I decided to check them out..If they were what I thought they might be ..then at least I'd know....BUT!!..When I did check them out..I was blown away!....I fell for them instantly....Now they are my No.1 band...I have brought as such of their music I can get my hands on..(CD's, DVD, Blu-Ray etc)...They mean more to me now than just their music.They have been the light in my darkness...My therapy...I thank them very much for that...Long May They Reign!👑

@@shirato39 As regards covers?....No...I have read that BAND-MAID have made covers of some 14 tracks in their career so far. Maybe more....Not sure if that also includes the tracks the ladies covered by themselves early on when they posted videos of Kanami MISA and Akane doing covers to prove they could play their instruments. One of Akane's is still on YT a cover of "Maximum the Hormone"..As well as a Kanami cover of a "One Ok Rock "track....Check them out if they still up.

On my point of view, I think its not because the opportunity was taken away from them. Scandal did the same thing by going to america and do jams at certain popular bars but wasn't enough to put them at the top. OOR or One Ok Rock made it to hollywood probably because of them learning and adapting to western culture. Band-Maid however, remained the japanese culture where they perform monsters but interacts with their audience as to how those idol groups interact with their audience. If Saiki or Miku, as their vocals/MCs, would practice their english perpectly, as to how Taka from OOR did to communicate with their foreign audience around the world and drop their cuteness(japanese culture of artists), I believe Band-Maid would also make it like OOR. Mind you, I am not comparing them but this band as well as the other bands in japan deserves recognition from the entire world because they are as best as these popular rock and metal bands that we know of.

Ooooh! That was sooo SWEET of them! They had a subtle sense of humor and their live performances are fun As a vocal act they're really good, but their instrumentals are amazing: listen to 'Onset' and 'From Now On' - you'll love them. I only discovered this band a month ago, clicking on a video as a goof, thinking they were just another Japanese pop group with cute costumes. I was wrong: they shred, they know how to write songs and arrange instrumentation, and they know how to put on a live show. This is only the second time I've seen them do a cover. The first time was when their lead guitarist was responding to the rumor that the band wasn't actually playing their instruments but simply mimicking for the videos. She had the presenter pick out a current hit song from another band. She played through it note for note on the first run with a bored look on her face.
