Welcome to Band-Maid! The best hard rock band I have heard in my 58 years on this planet. While they don't class themselves as a metal band, they don't stick to any one genre and often mix genres in songs. They are extremely diverse and have an extensive back catalogue featuring Punk, Pop-Punk, Hard-Rock, Classic Rock, Metal, Prog, Blues, Jazz, Groove, Rap etc. From face melting 220 bpm punk-prog mayhem to ballads, instrumentals to acoustics they do it all. They can make you headbang, they can make you pogo, they can make you cry like a baby. They are also five of the nicest people in music, without a shred of ego. They are funny and fun and world class musicians to boot. They are currently into their 12th year with the original line up. Btw, Miku the rhythm guitarist (red rose) formed the band. She had the idea of Band-Maid after working as a maid in Japanese maid cafe's. Her idea is a concept called "The Gap" - that is what you see (cute maids) is NOT what you get (Hard Rock/Punk/Metal). They take the maid café concept literally. They call their concerts "servings" and their fans "Masters and Princesses". Oh, and Miku is an 810 year old small pigeon. Welcome to the pigeon hole Po!

you like most reactors are stunned when they first hear this band. i was completely unaware of japanese all girl rock and metal bands until 2016 when youtube recommended a BAND MAID song and i got hooked immediately. there are MANY of these groups and are pretty much all top shelf with talent and songwriting. there is much amazing music to discover from the land of the rising sun.

Band Maid has a lot of great songs, my favs, except for Dice, r lives of Domination, Hate, Moratorium, Daydreaming, Before yesterday. MV - Memorable, Forbidden tale. Songs - Brightest star, The One, Tamaya. Also if u r a fan of bass, i would recommend u to check out new all girl band NEKI, bassist Kanade there can slap you to the Moon with her bass and she is just 17 years old, try out their MV - MAZE, also they will release new one on October 9! Welcome to world's best rock band! These ladies will knock your socks off and have you singing along! I've seen them 4 times live and they were amazing on stage. Best rock concerts that I 'vet experienced in 65 years! If you want to hear just how good they are as musicians try their instrumental "Onset" - which they play to give the singer Saiki a small pee break (rest her voice) in concerts! The bassist name is MISA (always all caps, and if you are that good, you only need one name). She plays Black Cloud basses. This model is a Black Smoker. She now plays a customized Black Cloud. I'm not sure, but it may be a signature bass. She is one of the best, if not the best, performing bassist on the planet. Her bass lines are truly amazing.

Band-Maid's vocalist has them do instrumentals mid concert to rest her vocal cords. Both vocalists have had vocal cord surgery and very careful about their vocal health. Check out "Onset" and "From Now On" - both killer instrumentals. "Puzzle" live from Tokyo Garden Theater is one of my favorite "Do you have any other Band-Maid songs I should listen to?" songs. Otherwise, their KZbin page is brimming with catchy songs that range through Pop, Punk, Fusion, Grunge, Metal, Folk Metal (as Band-Maiko), mixed in a blender in a surprising manner.

Hey! So I have my YT account that I did Podcasting on with roughly 500 subscribers on it.
