The group Band-Maid is gaining popularity worldwide and this video might explain why. This j-rock band has a more western sound to them and that has had an impact on many Northern Americans.
This is my 2nd song I've heard by them and I plan on keeping Band-Maid in my future reaction plans. Please feel free some tell my how you felt about this song and any other of your favorites by these very talented ladies.... and they're also beautiful!

I much rather have someone pause a video to emphasise why they like a particular part and even replay it. This song is awsome. Band-Maid is a world class act. World class musicians. They are the best rock band on the planet. The new song Rinne is probably their best song up to date imo.

They are hardly the best on the planet. They have never had a top 10 hit, they have never played Budokan, they have never played before a crowd larger than 6,000 other than at a festival, they have won no awards to speak of. Baby Metal has far out distance them in terms of accomplishments. Are they any better than Scandal or Love Bites? They are a nice band, I listen to them all the time but I am honest about them.

@@nem447 Band Maid is an excellent Japanese classic rock band. Best rock band on the planet? Hardly. I like The Warning Band and what they did with Queen of The Murder Scene which was a stunning accomplishment for a young band

@@LouieGrandie Let's put it this way. They are one of the best collection of musicians, singers, song composers and writers on the planet. Right up there with the great Kami Band, in my humble opinion. What they don't have is the appeal of cute little girls doing equally cute dance choreography to captivate the Japanese and a lot of the international market. Honest rock-n-roll music with little reliance on backing tracks during their live shows. In fact they could easily play live without the scarce recorded tracks that they do use. Babymetal, not so much, if at all.

Yes! I discovered Band-Maid a couple years ago and was immediately blown away by their skill. At first I found the maid outfits to be a bit gimmicky, but their talent is undeniable.

I think that is why I was a bit in shock when I did my first reaction to them with "Play". I was like holy smokes, these girls can REALLY play. Then the guitar solos in this one... the drummer as well. They are very good and underrated. Thanks for the view/comment... enjoyed your story 👊👍💥

Jimmy Page( LED ZEPPELIN) just after seeing the band play in Tokyo in 2016. He complimented Akane. Akane was star struck. She later said Mr. Jimmy Page-san offered her much encouragement and she promised to do her best.

@@DannymikReacts the selfie of Akane and Mr Page is my screen saver. What l found interesting was Jimmy was in Tokyo to attend a Rock Festival in 2016. He watched a few bands perform and when the show ended his people asked Band-Maid if Ms. Hirose would be willing to meet. Akane was star struck. Now here is the thing. Mr. Page did not ask to see any other performer and he did not ask to meet any of Band-Maid's other members. So certainly something caused Jimmy to want to go out of his way just to meet her alone out of all the acts at the festival.

The thing is that I had NO clue what I was doing when I started my channel and still have a lot to learn. My creative side helped a little but KZbin is not for the weak. I watched content like yours and many others, pushing me to get better. Doing my diligence on song selection is just me being thorough and it's paying off. Nice reaction. I won't request a particular song, but if you're going down the _Band-Maid_ rabbit hole, I suggest you continue to react to LIVE versions whenever possible. They are one of those rare bands who are better live than in the studio. Plenty of high quality clips on KZbin to choose from.....Chur from NZL.

@@DannymikReacts The exceptions would be "Dice", where the studio mix is just perfect and live versions (even if you are there) somehow don't capture the energy of the song, and "Don't Let Me Down", where the live versions are poor quality fan-cams (on one Kanami's guitar lead even breaks during the song, and she has to put in a replacement - as the song carries on without her). Clang is also tricky, as the pro live version got taken down, but there is an excellent fan-cam from the Islington gig in June this year. EDIT.... the pro version exists kzbin.info/www/bejne/hYSpp4p_g8iKfck It actually starts 53 seconds in. Before that is an oddly low-quality version of the intro from the previously mentioned fancam

I love this, I’m a huge Japanese music fan mainly because of anime so this is something I would seriously rock out to this. A band I recently started listening to that may be a cool reaction is “I prevail” pretty heavy band

When talent is evident is all phases within a band then good things should happen. This group is young and full of talent... lots of energy. You do rly cool reactions. Never saw with lyrics and this effects arround. Rly nice. I know BAND-MAID for now about two years. First vid i saw was Thrill. From there on i soaked all stuff i can find about them in. After a half year i decited that theyr band logo is worth to be tattoed on my body and since then i wear it proud. Saw them two times live now. 2018 in Munich and 2019 in Bochum and omg it was so awesome every time. Vip tickets brought me so near. 🤘 I own all albums and the most singles and right now im waiting for the todays released Conqueror album to arrive here. @@DannymikReacts he is talking about Band-Maid is not a part of the Japanese idol system whose bands are record company constructs just like their KPOP counterparts. Miku tried that and failed. Caused her to go to work for Maid Cafés where she formed the idea of dressing a band in her work uniform and playing kick ass rock music. A couple of small problems. She did know how to play any instrument and she had no experience with Western style rock n roll. She did, however, know Akane. This is why Miku is so respected. She went back to the guys who fired her and they were intrigued enough to give Band-Maid a shot. It still took three years before Crown Stones would let them record their first completely original song Alone. The rest is history.

Yes, they are beyond awesomeness live! Took my daughter to see them and she was very impressed. They did 2 hours of hard rock and fun, previously it was hour and half. Just found out about Band Maid this summer and went to their concert in NYC in Sept. They are awesome live. First song I heard from them was "Take Me Higher". YOu and me both (learning about them this past summer) and I'm glad that I did. And if it wasn't for KZbin I wouldn't have a clue about them. I will say that the lead guitarist (Kanami) killed that back and forth solo session... both were great but she totally surprised me with how skilled she is. Glad you recognize. Band-Maid fans are as dedicated and committed to this band in much the same way the Grateful Dead fans were a generation ago. The Deadheads. The only language barrier is the one you are imposing upon yourself. Half the song is in English. Try obtaining a copy of the lyrics which, according to Miku will be in all music sold from this new release Conqueror. New song Reincarnation just out may be their best work to date. @Robert, yeah, I can see that a lot of the chorus and pre-chorus are in American but it's tough to follow everything when I'm listening to all aspects of the song. Plus there's always an accent but it's all good. They are a really awesome band that's totally fun to react to. The new song is on my radar as well as many other Band-Maid songs. @@DannymikReacts it isn't easy but most of the fans, myself included, figure it out. And consider this: when you listen to Behemoth or Cambria or Slipknot can you easily discern the screaming lyrics? I usually have to hear one of those several times and get a copy of those lyrics as well. So, l have to put in the same effort to understand many songs that are already in English. That's all l am saying. You, and others like you, are helping to get the word out on this amazing band and for that l thank you sincerely. The new Band-Maid single Ren-nie is awesome and worthy of Ozzy Osborne just because of subject matter. I thought it was a new movie but l was wrong. Apparently the movie came out in 2008 or so and concerns itself with a serial killer who filmed his murders in 8 mm to examine later for signs of reincarnation or the spirit leaving the body of his victims. BTW Ozzy has a brand new single out entitled Under the Graveyard. Best regards from Sacramento.
